Hope Coach wins her another championship this year

That would make the world in balance. She deserves one more....at least. I believe this may be her last shot.

From family (and friends) experiences with the "health problems" she has...I'm sorry to say I think this will be her last year coaching....at least as a head coach. If there is any balance left in the world she wins a NC this year.

Hoping the world ends up the way it should is the way good men starve to death. I want it to happen badly as well, but It's just gonna be hard to swallow that geno will probably surpass her some day now, when before it would've been nearly impossible.

Summitt in recent years because I could see slippage in the program--and meanwhile geno was accumulating titles. I do think, sadly, that he will pass Pat, but the hard truth is that PS hasn't done a great job over the last 15 years. Yea, thanks to Parker she won another two titles, but on the whole the program has struggled over the last decade or so--spotty talent evaluation, poor guard play, players quiting, and PS has never been much when it comes to teaching the passing game and offensive execution. She's stalwart when it comes to defense and rebounding, of course--but not offense. Three players quit, for various reasons, after the end of last seaon--leaving the current squad with 9 players. It's been, what, three years since we got to the Final Four. Got knocked out of the NCAA tourney in the first round a couple of years ago--unheard of. It's the law of diminishing returns, and it tends to happen to coaches who have around for a very long time.

This team could win the title if Baugh is healthy all year and plays well--knock wood--and I'd be ecstatic if it does. But there has been a lot of bad juju lately that must be overcome. Last year Avant--heralded guard--had all manner of injury and illness and squandered her first year. Turns out she wasn't that great--and then she quit. Now we have a heralded point guard--FINALLY--and she suffers a serious concussion on, like the first day of practice--an extremely rare injury in basketball? That's the way it is gone for the Lady Vols lately.
