UT closed their recruiting with 1 signee last November.

Moss Hails From Chattahoochee High School in Alpharetta, Ga.

Nov. 11, 2004

Pat Summitt, head basketball coach of the number one-ranked University of Tennessee Lady Volunteers, announced today that she had received signed scholarship papers from 6'1" guard Lindsey Moss of Chattahoochee H.S. in Alpharetta, Ga.

"We are excited to have Lindsey in Orange and White," said Summitt. "She is an offensive-minded guard with all-around solid skills - shooting, passing and handling the ball. She's tall, long and lanky -- really a fluid player."

Moss committed to the Lady Vols in the summer of 2003. This season, she has been nationally ranked in both the All-Star Girls Report (22nd) and on the Blue Star Index top 100 (35th). She earned All-America honorable mention in both 2003 and 2004 and has been tabbed as an All-State selection since the ninth grade. Additionally, she was an invitee to both the Nike All-America Camp and the adidas Top 10 All-America Camp.

She has led the CHS Cougars in almost every statistical category for three seasons while registering single game career highs in points (32), rebounds (22) and assists (13).

Moss is expected to be the only UT women's basketball signee in 2004.

Her dad was my football coach. She is a good player. I hope she can recover from her knee injury. At her size she can't afford to lose any quickness.

We have 3 seniors going out. It would be nice to get at least one more player coming in unless there is a big class next year.

Lindsey Moss is the only recruit coming in this year, last time I checked (couple days ago) she was ranked the 35th top recruit in the nation.

Not much damage this year recruiting wise, but we dont need it after the recruiting class we brought in last year.

We are going to be loaded next year. We really don't need anyone coming in this year.

I can't wait until Candace gets out there. I am so used to seeing her on the bench dressed up, I have almost convinced myself that she is an assistant coach.

wrong again Don. Atleast most of pull for all the teams at UT not just the ones that neadrathals look to.
