Have not heard or seen any tweets. Where did you hear it from?

Another board and some strong Lady Vol fans who are close friends of mine.Their consensus on the tweets was that the players felt no sense of urgency about their play in the last several games and especially after the Va Tech game,ie ,all is well and they are not concerned about how the team played Sunday nor the state of the team.If that is true ,then some players need some discipline applied both in social media and on the court in practice and in games.

Frankly one of the most disturbing things that stood out to me in the Va Tech game especially in last quarter was the lack of what I call competitive spirit. They folded like a cheap accordion....went out without a whimper.

Just because they didn't tweet about the loss, there's no sense of urgency from them???? People put wayyyyyy to much stock into social media.

Maybe I was not clear....it was the tweets showing no remorse or sense of urgency about the loss and how they were playing ....apparently the tweets showed no concern about the way they played Sunday.I have not read the tweets that is why this thread to ask those who have read the tweets for their opinion .

They are being pushed by some former players and practicing against them.... They are definitely working and searching for answers.

Draya Carter had a relevant tweet soon after the Vt game. She posted:

So lucky to be at a program where former players come back to help us out. Shoutout to Catch, Glory & Lex for challenging us today.

I believe the problem is they are not making shots. The shots are not falling and outside of Diamond, nobody is scoring. When you can't score, frustration sets in and affects how you play in other areas.

It's hard to score when your offense is get the ball inside, oh that's not working kick it back out, oh that's not working...hey you dribble and take a shot, and everyone else stands around and watches

Well not making shots will certainly affect winning, no doubt.

I think it was Draya who posted a tweet when college football was underway, and she mentioned how the fans acted like they were more upsets about the losses than the guys/players were, which was not the case. (This is not exactly what she wrote, but it made a lot of sense).

Their whining, rather than support, only made things more difficult. These are young people giving their best (I am certain most of them are)

Most of these players were use to winning championships in high school, and I don't think their standards have been lowered. I have followed Diamond, Tea, and Draya here in GA for years. They are definitely trying. I have never attended TN, or lived in the state, but they have been my favorite team since 89 (with the Saudia Roundtree/GA team, and Big Syl/LSU team also), and I was really disappointed to see them lose those two games, but give the girls a break. Even if the fans don't like the way Holly coaches support the girls, and lets encourage each other.

Is it possible that former players see the program they love and take pride in, slipping and want to do what they can to bring this program back to what it deserves to be? If I were a former player it would be difficult to look at the product we are producing on the floor. This would be especially true when we have the talent to certainly be better. Notre Dame has key players with injuries, but that does not stop them from playing quality basketball, even against UCONN until they ran out of gas in the 4th quarter. In the end I think ND lost by 10 points.

Unless we start playing better, I do not see wins, in the SEC, against Missouri, Kentucky, possibly Georgia, and South Carolina. These teams are playing quality ball.
