I have watched most every team in Top 25 play this year and there are no really dominant teams this year. There are teams that can be dominant on any given night but this year the path to the Final 4 is wide open ...even for the Lady Vols if they can get turnovers under control and continue good to great post play consistently .Now having said that lets see what happens in these next three tough games on the road.

I have watched quiet a few women's teams. The thing I see as it relates to our team is most good looking teams are faster and seem to shoot from outside better. Yes, we are longer and bigger inside, but our defense is just not where it needs to be to weather the "storms" that come during most games. As to turnovers, they seem to be a part of all team's problems, like free throw shooting. When all things seem to be even, one or the other or both can be pointed at as the "difference" in the final outcome.

See i see the defense as a strength of the LVs. It’s hitting shots for stretches that seem to be the problem. Prime example of defense is holding uconn to 67 points then the games after that they scores72, 87, and 100. The 67 was their lowest point total. They kept a high scoring Arkansas team to 73. The defense had its lapses in some games (GA) but i think the defense and rebounding is what will separate them if it happens.

Turnovers...well ya know if they can keep them down it’s a benefit!

We've always known that Tennessee can play defense, but they have ugly offense. It's helped this season that Rae has been a consistent scoring threat to go with Rennia. If you add Tamari in the mix, then Tennessee can play with anyone.

This is truth!

I agree, alexvol. The Lady Vols must win 2 of 3 to say they are a legitimate Final Four contender.

Getting a coach that can teach offense has helped a lot. Defense averages giving up 59 ppg which is excellent.

So true Rick....
Coach Kellie knows the pain of losing......She gives her all for Tennessee!

I think what separates us from being a Very Very good team to an excellent team is a true point guard. It appears they want to look like an all star with all the scoop shots rather than taking it to the defender and simply making the layups. The lazy passes do not help either
