Tonights game has been postponed because of weather. Nothing official but I would think that there will be a doubleheader tomorrow starting around 3:30ET. Game 2 of the series is scheduled for 7:30ET on ESPN.

Didn't there last game get cancelled also? Would these cancellations be hurting the team in the long run with the rankings?

How are they going to make up these conference games? Wouldn't this affect who wins the SEC? Florida and Tennessee are really close in the standings.

What is the deal with the weather? What is that--five of last six games canceled?

Last weeks won't be made up. Yes, but the seeding for the conference tournament is done by winning percent.

Yep, 2 with James Madison, 2 with Arkansas and tonights. If the weather allows tonights game should be made up tomorrow. But if the weather is bad its quite possible that both games would not be made up.

They do not make up games, which is why the SEC Championship in baseball and softball are determined on winning percentage, not just on total wins.

Maybe there is a thread but wanted to ask if you knew what cable companies (and dish cos) will carry the SEC network nationwide ones anyway

Didn't make it to Columbia as had hoped.

The SEC regular season championship will be determined by winning percentage. Last weekend Arkansas games will not be made up.

Today's Missouri game has been postponed but likely cancelled. They will try to play a DH tomorrow but likely to rain all weekend. The Saturday and Sunday's games are as scheduled. They will try to get as many games played as possible.

If we start and play a game..... we must win!! Florida will likely sweep South Carolina (won today 5-0) and if they sweep, their winning percentage will be .791.... they must win 3 to get to .791. A loss to South Carolina would hurt their chances.

Lady Vols are currently 15-4 and a .789 percentage. if we get rained out then we stay at .789 and Florida would win the championship at .791.

If the Lady Vols play 1 game and win they would be 16-4 or .800 percentage. If we play 1 game and lose then we need Florida to lose 1 of 3 games for us to win the regular season championship.

LSU had an outside chance at the championship but they lost to Georgia today and mathematically eliminated from winning championship.

Bottom line.... if we play a game.... we need to win it!!! If we play three games then we need to sweep!!! We need to get at least one game played to control their destiny.

Go Lady Vols!!:clapping:

I don't think Florida will be losing any game to South Carolina. Were in a very tough position to hold on to the title. Missouri has a great pitcher and is at home. That loss to Arkansas was a killer and the cancellation of the other games with them hurts because I think we would have won both.

Should get the game in tonight, but it will be cold out there -- no rain until late and only a 30 percent chance.

Florida won game 1 of today's double header in 8 innings 3-2. South Carolina squandered scoring opportunities in the 5th and 6th innings before florida homered in the 8th. UGH!!

Game 2, SC homered to take a 2-1 lead then held on for the win. Florida had bases loaded with 2 out in the top of the 7th, 3-2 count..... check swing was appealed to 1st base for the called 3rd strike and 3rd out to end the game.!

Lady Vols need to win tonight to clinch the SEC regular season Championship.... got to get it done tonight.
Go Lady Vols!!!:eek:k:

Hope I am wrong, but our team seems to have lost focus against Arkansas, and now against Mizzouri. With the championship on the line, you would think they would be ready to play, but they were flat against Ark., and tonight, M. Brown just flat out missed an easy out that was actually called a hit. M. Davin then was not watching the ball into her glove, and the bad choice by T. Lewis has us looking like anything but the team we were during the 19 game winning streak.

Hope they wake up, but in the bottom of the third, there is no sign of it. After the gift of S.C. knocking off Fla. today, it would really be a shame to still lose the regular season championship.

We look so flat and I just don't understand why. Defensive errors all over the place and complacency at the plate. Has something happened or is this just a collective team funk?

Well, the team hasn't played but one game in more than a week, I think. Lost its edge? Need to start hitting the ball again--where are the bats?

Not to mention Thomas is one of the best pitchers in the country.

Lots of walks and nothing done with them. Can't let those gifts go to waste.

I had high expectations for this team at the WCWS but if I could bet on it I would sell now. Team looks unprepared for what Thomas has given them (which is nothing new) and they look unable to make adjustments.

well the Vols will win the next 2 if not the 1st one - that pitcher cant go all 3 games - the cold weather doesnt help hitters any.
