Glory Johnson scored 19 points while Meighan Simmons added 15 points and 11 assists to lead Tennessee in a 110-45 blowout of Alabama on Thursday night at Thompson-Boling Arena.
Pat said twice on the call-in short segment after the game..."She's fine."...to two different callers asking about SS. She also told one, "...she'll be practicing tomorrow."
If I were in charge at Alabama, I would have met the coach when they got home and fired him on the spot. That was a pathetic effort and team Alabama put on the floor last night and all the coach did was sit on his butt and watch the game like it was a tennis match. Just because you are out manned doesn't mean you just sit back and watch. This Tennessee team can be pretty good and could be special if they teach our post players to go up against Griner right in her grill instead of trying to fall away where her reach becomes a big advantage.
Great game and thanks for beating the bammies. I just want to say that I appreciate the consistency of this program. Our coaches do a wonderful job in demanding excellence in performance and conduct on and off the court. They always command respect in the national sports arena and it is very refreshing. I only wish ALL our programs could do as well! Thanks to Pat, the assistants and all the players for maintaining integrity and honor in our university. Our fans and all our athletes should strive to do as well!
Whenever Tennessee beats The Enemy in anything, it is a glorious thing.
I enjoyed every second of it. My only regret is that it wasn't Geno Auriemma getting the @$$ kicking. Nevertheless, Down with The Enemy, Go Lady Vols. Posted via VolNation Mobile
