The SEC Champion Lady Vols (24-8) have earned a 2 seed in the Des Moines Region. They will play the 15 seeded Ohio-Valley champion UT-Martin Skyhawks (23-8) this Saturday on ESPN 2 at 4:10 ET in Chicago.

They can beat Baylor or anybody else I think! They just need to play like their capable. Which for some reason, they haven't all year. Talent wise, we may have more McDonald AA than anybody. As long as Uconn doesn't win, I'll be alright.

I think Kentucky is the 2 seed in Uconn's bracket. Hopefully they can knock them out.

Can somebody help me understand why the Tennessee schools are all playin each other? Seems a bit odd? Is it for travel?

Well, the Lady Vols and UT-M are playing in Chicago, but no big problem for Vandy and MTSU.

This maybe a beginning and end type sentiment with the committee thinking it is CPS last year as the coach.

It sucks but who knows more concerned again why in Baylor's Bracket but we probably were the lowest 2 seed well KY would have been debatable. Maryland questionable. Oh well we can beat Baylor if we can deal with the beast in the middle.

Just don't think we can handle Brittany Griner, she is the man... literally.

I *think* LVs are better off in Baylor's bracket than if they were in Notre Dame's or Stanford's. If they can press the dribble at half court to shorten the shot clock and try to deny the inside pass as much as possible, Griner can get frustrated. A lot depends on the officiating where Griner is concerned. If she's allowed to shove and clear out a 5 ft. circle before a shot like she does in most games...she gets 20 rebounds and 12 or so easy putbacks.

The beast took off his wig, is now playing for Kentucky, and is Anthony Davis....Now we know why he/she made such an ugly freak of nature playing chick.....IT WAS A TARP!!!!!!

Agreed. And as for the lowest 2 seed...well we split with KY, but could have beaten them by 40 in another. They should be in our bracket, and us in theirs

It is only about travel when other teams are involved. If you really want to get sick, look and UConn's travel EVERY year. You can throw a rock across their state, but they get to play 25 mi from home and act like they are not playing at home. Every year they play close to home.

There is also a concentrated effort to pair southern teams against each other even when they are playing across the country. Would love to see pairings against teams from other areas and just see what the finals would look like.
