The SEC released its 2012-13 Women's Basketball Preseason Media Poll Tuesday, and the Tennessee Lady Volunteers have been picked to finish fourth.

Hopefully among the top 2! The Lady Wildcats were right along there with the men's team. The Lady Bulldogs are always tough. The Lady Commodores are no pushover.

Well, I know we've fallen--but 4th in the SEC? Haven't we won the SEC about 19 of the last 20 years?

While I'm not happy with Georgia and Vandy being picked ahead of Tennessee, when you consider who we graduated and who the other teams have returning from last year's team, it may not be totally unreasonable as a pre-season pick.

This may be a bold prediction as to a player, but I believe that Cierra Burdick will make, at least, second team all-SEC and very possibly, first team.

The major problem with the team is inexperience in the post. We can still put players on the floor that were all top ten recruits except at the center position. If the players we have step up at that position then we could easily win the SEC.

We are reloading now. If recruiting goes well this is the best chance the rest of the league will have to finish ahead of us.

I bet we still finish first or second.

With a healthy Pat Summitt still at the helm, the same group of kids would be picked to win the conference. No doubt about it. Lady Vol fans are hoping that things stay close to the same level with Holly. Apparently there is a lot of doubt, or wishful thinking, around the rest of the leauge. Should make for an interesting season.
