Lady Vols Recruits list....

I think those are just the players who have listed Tennessee as one of their schools of interest.

There are two posts...Izzy's little sister and the one whose initials are KK...that are (according to board "insiders") considering Tennessee, but have not yet released their lists. Tennessee needs both of them, and hopefully a third 6'3+ player and a gunner.

Yeah, Dodson and KK, both out of Atlanta, heard the buzz too.

Well judgin by Dee Dee and Izzy, Dorie would be a nice gamble, especially if she work hard like her sisters.

How big of class?

KK
Dorie Harrison (I would be estatic)
Boothe

Now add any of the following players:

Meghan Walker
Maya Dodson
Jade Williams

I hope they practice offense from day one and come out of the gates on fire. Those that have yet to commit may be swayed as it has been the offense that has been lagging.

All we have to do is win ball games. We have to get some wins on the big stage against solid teams Texas, MD, Notre Damne, Stanford, all those we are competing against for recruits, and hopefully the girls can see themselves playing here, KK, Dorie and Dodson, of course all love the Lady Vols, which helps.

Well we need posts and wings, so it will be a learning curve, but Mercedes will be a senior which helps, I think she will evolved into a good leader.

Those recruits are skilled especially Walker, ooh lawd, can she play. But look at Asia Durr and Samuelson girl this year. I just want players who want to be a Lad Vols more than anything else on earth, and who will represent that name accordingly. I don't care what there ranked, I don't care how tall they are. I just wanna know if they:

Are you tough? Are you confident?

I would not get too excited about the 2017 recruiting class after the 2016 debacle unless we have signatures on the dotted line.

Are we seriously not going to sign ANYBODY in this year's class? I have NEVER heard of any program at any school not signing anybody, much less this program. It's hard to overstate what a debacle this is.

This 2017 class could be extremely vital. There is no guarantee that Diamond and Mercedes will opt to use their last year of eligibility as 5th year seniors. In fact, I think it is really likely that Diamond turns pro after next season. If Mercedes has a breakout season in 2016-17 (which is possible) she might follow suit. If both have graduated, they may be interested in moving onto the next chapter of their lives.

I think we have to try and sign one JC post going to be tough going into a season with Mercedes as your only big player. Then you have Jones who may or may not play anymore. Then comes Nared and Dunbar so yes we need a post but not a lot of confidence that this coaching staff can pull it off. They keep losing players to Kentucky, Louisville, Maryland, etc.

Here is the player we need 6'3" JC 17 ppg and 16 rpg shooting 60 percent from the field and 72 from the line. I have little confidence that we are even recruiting her or can beat out other teams to get her.

Averaging 28 pts and 29rebs over her last 3 games, the question is do we have interest in her/have we reached out? Right now she has schools like Tulsa and Georgia State recruiting her (I don't know if that's a good or bad thing) but I think if we get into the process of recruiting her early it might help us land her

Gosh it would be unbelievable if Russell gets much interest from the WNBA. maybe overseas. Deshields maybe.

She's 6'6 and fairly athletic. That alone will get her looked at.

The difference being drafted and becoming a lottery pick is how aggressive is she willing to become.

A few years back there was a great prospect in Colorado Springs Kylee Shook. When she was in junior high school we when to see her play, talked to her family including about the Lady Vols...Colorado had already offered a full ride. We posted information on The Summitt the next day. Maybe one response on the site. Then a maybe when she was junior in high school a post on The Summitt as to why one of the coaches was heading to Colorado. I knew why but to late. She signed with Louisville!!!

We have to get some better recruiters...... Bringing in Mickey DeMoss helped Pat!

One thing I believe the way recruiting is going and some of the bad losses we'll probably see an Assistant or two out the door for Tennessee. We really need to get some Assistants that can develop players and also recruit. I don't think the ones we have now are doing a very good job in coaching or recruiting. I expect Holly will keep her coaching job but I can't see us not making changes to the staff.
