We need to try to counter Xavier--which seems to play a lot like Arkansas, meaning very direct, fast, gets the ball toward goal.

I didn't like the early shot Simmonds took early in the game on that breakaway. The analyst oddly said she made a good decision--but shooting from that distance is almost never a good idea unless it's a brilliant shot, which it wasn't. She should have taken the ball closer to the goal before shooting--or maybe there was a centering pass to Fusco or Lawton that could have been made--as both were close to goal when the keeper collected the ball

We're not going to win giving up 14 shots again in the 2nd half, that's for sure. I don't think we had even one corrner in the first 45. We'll have to be lots better if we want to avoid a quick exit. We're getting outplayed in the midfield. That's where our improvement must start--and try to get Fusco, Lawton and Simmonds some shots.
