If had been a prize fight...they would have stopped it. After a competitive first set, the girls just blew the gators to bits in the second set. The third set was almost competitive, but the girls lead from wire to wire and the gators go home LOSERS!!!

This was the best team volleyball of the season and you could tell our girls were on a mission! Danielle Mehaffey came up BIG this match and the freshman is clearly a rising star for our team.

Mehaffey had a team-best 11 kills followed closely by Erica Trieber with 10. Sedona Hansen had 19 assists with Callie Williams producing 18 of her own.

The dig count was pretty low as our offense kept the gators on their heels. Madison Coulter and Callie Willimas had 13 each with Lily chipping in 9.

Heck of an effort by the girls! :)

Oh yeah...that's 10 IN A ROW!!!!

All I can say is wow to this coach. A team that was almost last, she took over and everything turned around. Great job coach.

Coach Rackham is the best thing to happen to UT's athletic department in a loooooong time. She's amazing.

Nice end to the SEC season. Really like to see the "lesser" sports do well. Speaks well for the AD and the overall department.

But remember,, being second is the first loser. Use this going forward and take it all next season.... Go Vols!!

Or take the tourney title ! Leave with a trophy and set yourself up nicely for the big show šŸ˜Ž I have watched the sporadically this season but every time I watch the intensity sorta goes up! They reflect their coach. Will be interesting to see how to reflects in her recruiting!!

Go LV!!

A couple of things...there is no longer a SEC tourney for volleyball. Did away with it a few years ago. So now we wait for the selection show (if there is a show) to find out where and who.

As for recruiting Coach has done well this first class. Seemed to have been filling in future needs and adding a little punch to our hitting line-up.

Here's an article about our new Vols: Rackham Announces 2019 Signing Class - University of Tennessee Athletics

See I watch it sporadically I guess I thought I had seen other tourneys. Do the other power 5 conferences have volleyball tourneys ?

Thanks for the article this may be a group I start to follow more consistantly.

Some do...but I think most have dropped them for fear a bad defeat in a league tourney might drop their RPI/ranking to the point they get a much lower NCAA seed. At least that's how it was explained to me. SEC will be the next to drop the Soccer tournament, imo, coaches want to drop it now.

I would love the SEC soccer tourney to be dropped as well.
