Congratulations to the Lady Vols of only having 13 turnovers in the whole game...best yet Horston did not have a turnover...still Florida scored 12 points off the turnovers. The Lady Vols need to take better care of the ball as Florida had 10 steals which is exceptionally high and resulted in several easy points. Hopefully they have improved enough to beat Texas A&M. Go Lady Vols.

Yes, we need to understand the scouting report that tells us which teams are quick and prone to anticipate and jump the passing lanes. And the receiver needs to help by coming to the ball or cutting when closely guarded.

So, if you ask me to bet on which LV would get a triple double this season , my $ would not have gone on Tamari. What mid season transformation. she had a a spectacular game. And KK had one of her best outings of the season. Just really strong post play.

And another, "I got this" gamec from fearless Rae. Walker continues to impress and I love how Davis is not letting missed shots effect her game or conversely, how she is busting her butt to contribute in ways other than scoring.

But, Rennia missed 3 or 4 shots at the rim that she would normally make and Jordan H and Destiny were a combine 4 for 16 with some of those misses being very makable shots. So, still a lot of room for improvement.

On the improvement, the LVs still need to get better at closing down 3 pt shooters and not losing shooters in rotations and avoiding lulls like in the 3rd quarter. As Tamika Catchings said, you have to keep your foot on the gas for 40 minutes.

I see better and more confident shooting!! Good. On the other hand we still seem slow and sluggish. (could not be as bad as I think because of being so tall/big) I have noticed a tendency to sorta jog down court after a made basket or many times on a missed rebound. A lot of the Fla. offensive success looked to me to be from the really fast pace of their point player almost beating or gals to their offensive end of the court. Otherwise I see our team being a force to beat the rest of the way to the SEC tourney. GO LADIES !!!

I strongly agree!!! Stopping 3 point shooters as got to improve. As to "foot on the gas", I wonder if these girls a not in as good condition as we have remembered our teams being. They seem to slow down midway 3rd and after the 3-4 qtr. break, pretty early in the 4th qtr. Their size being above the above average could be having an effect, but I just don't think they are in "Pat" condition.

The last six minutes were memorable when after the timeout Burrell and Davis locked down on their top two scorers and virtually face guarded them. Key was slapping the other drivers shots back in her face and the one or two that were shooting were the worst on the team and we were able to get most of the misses and convert into points. On the offensive end we finally settled down into a half court offense Horston in good Horston mode and worked the ball inside out and had our best offensive efficiency of the day. I think the coaching staff sprung the defensive pressure on their top two scorers at exactly the right time and that Davis and Burrell were able to actually carry out the plan and keep the two from getting any shots that were very good is a complement to them considering both had missed several defensive assignments in the first and other quarters.

Thanks! No I did not. Will try to find it. Watching UT sports shows never seems to work (time wise) for me. Living on the edge of Memphis and Nashville coverage makes it tough. Haven't watch Jackson in over 25 years (waste of time).

Those were mostly sloppy telegraphed passes in most cases! We seem to start out sloppy and progress in most cases but i just dont understand the passing so inept!

Any win-lose predictions for LVs over next 7 games?

I’m going to be optimistic and say 5-2, but only if Marta is back and at her usual speed.

Hate to say it but I think SC will get us. They have been playing well.

The other L is a toss up for me between A&M and Kentucky. I think we will win one of those and lose the other. Kentucky is going to have something to say just like we will when we play UGA.

Truly believe all of those games are winnable though. Would not have said that last year.

Yes, we have done this really well against a few teams this year. Alabama comes to mind. Then we inexplicably failed to execute this kind of play in some games.

Against Florida there were at least a half dozen turnovers that could have been back door cuts for layups. Florida was cheating way up the line into the passing lane and we were throwing long, lazy passes. One hard ball-fake and Rae would have had a wide open cut to the basket while the UF defender untangled herself from the court side seats. They jumped at every pass we threw and we never adjusted.
