Elimination Game!

With a win here, the Lady Vols earn a chance to play Arizona tomorrow at Noon. They must win that game, and game two tomorrow night at 6 or 7PM to Advance to the Championship Round.

Last Season Tennessee knocked off 1Seed Arizona in the first round before losing in the second round, then winning on Elimination Saturday and forcing a second game with eventual National Champion Michigan, whom they defeated in the Super Regionals this season to make it to the College World Series.

In other action:

Top seeded UCLA leads 5 seed Alabama 3-1 in the middle of the 4th. The winner meets 3rd seeded Texas tonight at 9pm Est. The winner of that game will meet 4 seed Northwestern at 3pm Tomorrow, needing to win twice to make it to the Championship Round.

Not looking good for Alabama.

Down 4-1 after 6 innings. They have left the bases loaded twice.

I have to leave before the end of the game. (Going to see the new Jennifer Anniston movie.)

This should set up UCLA vs. Texas later tonight, with the winner needing to beat Northwestern twice tomorrow to make it to the Championship Series.

I'll be back hopefully shortly after the start of the Lady Vols game, or atleast to a bar to watch it.

You guys do me proud and help the Lady Vols bring home a win tonight.

Got the good and the bad that inning. Took a 1-0 lead, but for the 2nd day in a row, Brock screwed us over. She should've scored easily but hesitated and was thrown out at the plate. Hopefully Monica can hold it together for 3 more innings.

Is it just me or can India Chiles not slide worth a sh*t?

I dislocated a shoulder diving head first for the ball in a basketball game. Her slide at second was dangerous. If the 2B moves her leg, Chiles' shoulder collides with it.

That was Griffin.

Ahhh, well, either way, we should've scored at least 2.

Chiles had at least 2 bad slides that inning. She slides way too late.

Welp, there goes that lead. I hope our offense can get a spark. Monica left that right down the pipe.

Throughout this tournament, every time Monica gives up a big hit, Miss Know-It-All criticizes her pitch selection. :banghead:

For the record, I was referring to the announcer and not hvwarrior there. :biggrin2:

I don't know if it was a bad selection, just a really bad pitch.

Either way, if we lose tonight, we will not be eliminated because of Abbott. Our offense has to put more pressure on the opposing team.

I'm bad luck.

I just turned it on, and saw the homerun.

On the subject of bad announcers, why is it that the "sold out" crowd last night was there to see Texas who played BEFORE the Lady Vols (and lost), and tonight the "sold out" crowd is here "in anticipation" of Texas?

This game may be over. ASU's hitters are waiting on pitches and being patient. Our hitters are swinging out of their cleats trying to go deep.

We are due, but we won't get one until we slow down and try to make solid contact on good pitches.
