Pat needs to take a chill pill. She is going to blow a head gasket if she continues the current tirade. Pat, I don't think this is working, perhaps you need to step back from the situation and reevaluate how you are trying to get these girls to play to their ability. The old saying, "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink"...Pat, you are drowning these girls with you're holding their heads under the water. It is becoming quite obvious that they are looking at the sideline more than they are watching their opponent. One mistake, you are on the bench, taking on the Summitt Stare.

Doesn't she have more wins than anybody else? Ever? She knows what she's doing I do believe.

she has 8 NC's, and over 1,000 wins and this guy says she doesn't know what she's doing to the girls. hmmmm....i guess this guy coached church league where his team finished 1st.

Just saying it is not working with this group. Not questioning her honors, just the outcome of this group of All-Americans.

"guess this guy coached church league where his team finished 1st." No, just a little bit(25yrs) of high school ball.

Listening to Pat's post game interview last night, I can't remember when I've heard her more disgusted and frustrated with a team's effort. Or lack. No energy. No intensity. Players spectating rather than playing. Team plays to the level of competition or whatever the score is. This was a pathetic showing coming off the Florida game. I love the Lady Vols program and the team. I want to see them go as far as they can this year. If something doesn't change, they'll only go as far as they want to.

Pat can yell and scream at them all she wants to. She knows she can't beat Connecticut, there isn't any way to make this team good enough to do it, and there isn't anyone else who's good enough to beat them for her, like what happened two years ago. And that's all that really matters, because if she can't beat the Huskies, she can't win the national championship.

That's really what this is all about. Pat Summitt could go 38-1 some year, and it wouldn't mean a thing to her if she didn't get to hang a banner. So she's going to keep riding them the rest of the season, trying to make her two pairs beat a royal flush come March.

I don't believe CPS will roll over for UConn or anybody, they will probably lose the game,if it happens,I would bet that she doesn't see it as a automatic lost game too

Pat's frustration at not having any of these very athletic players develop into a point guard who can run the team is getting to her a little, maybe. I *think* she might think that that one position player is keeping this team from being a level above where they are (which is still pretty damb good) and it bugs her. Does Holly have any eligibility left?

In all the games I've seen and traveled to with the Lady Vols, I haven't seen Pat happy aside from winning the National Championship, and to some extent the SEC Championship. Everything else is a stepping stone. If you aren't where you need to be, why act like it?

Pat brings all of her energy and all of her "game brain" to every practice and every game. She has some very talented players who don't. This is the problem she faces and I hope she finds a fix for it. She calls it disrespecting the game of basketball and I agree with her on that. Some on this team really puzzle me. I've been a Pat fan for over 35 years and I have no complaints with her or her capabilities. Here's one of my favorite Pat pictures.....

I agree with what you're saying to an extent. However I would add that Pat's job is to get these girls to play at their absolute best. She knows that the road to the national championship leads right to UConn. Pat knows how good they are and she knows how good Tennessee is going to have to be in order to beat UConn. Right now this team, for whatever reason, just doesn't seem to have everything in place to do that. Are they "good?" Yes of course they are. They are VERY good and very talented. However UConn is simply playing at a level higher than everyone else. The thing about it is, not only is UConn undefeated, it's like no one has even challenged them. When was the last time they won a game by a single digit? When was the last time any of their games were in serious jeapordy of losing? Some of this you have to just chalk up to recruiting. Gino managed to get the elite players needed to get to this level and Pat didn't.

she knows that. I don't think she believes that. Another thing, I don't think CT has even entered her mind this year.

I think she think that the current team should have to play from behind. This is not one of the best terams she's had. Those days are long gone. This team needs a
little more motiviation and so does the men's team. With a little more motivation on the men's team, they could have 23-24 wins in lieu of just 20. I know both teams are playing well but just a "little more motiviation. Pat is trying to get these gals motivated for the tourney runs, especially in the NCAA toruney. Is this Lady Vols team a Final 4? If they have to play Stanford or UConn, they'll have to play for better shot selection to have a chance to make it to the Finals and even win it all!
