LaMarcus Aldridge, Sophomore Forward

On playing the Volunteers: "We were fired up, but we just didn't use our energy in the right way. I really don't know why. I think our guys gave it their all but Tennessee just played good basketball. They shot the ball well, doubled the posts well, and they took our point guard out. They just took care of business."

In the age of the ego, it's nice to hear a kid actually give credit to the other team rather just rattling off excuses.

I believe it was OWB......That was a nice win for our program....I dunno about the rest of you guys but to be able to say we're 6-0 in men's basketball feels pretty good....Hey, we also already have more wins than the football team!

great win guys. the auditorium was dead silent the whole game.

well, except for me. pearl has got it going on in the kitchen and the players played with lots of emotion and energy, texas did not.

Pearl paced the entire time of the game. he hardly sat for one minute. love this guys energey. the kids really reacted to their biggest game of the season and Pearl's biggest game at UT so far.

congrats fellas

I noticed the quiet. Even the announcers were quiet - someone from the Vols would hit a huge three and the announcers didn't react with any enthusiasm.

I'm not claiming any bias - it was just weird to watch.

Class comments obviously from a class man.

Got to love the energy Bruce brings to the game along w directing our players to play...what a difference good coaching makes. I recall hearing him say in one of his first interviews at UT that his team may get beat, but they won't be outplayed.

Love the hussle of this squad.

They were probably just shocked. I know I was.

They saw it coming mabye with Duke but not the Vols. That would quiet the best of them. It was a great job of keeping the pressure the whole game. Pearl commented it was their intnetion to do that and that is why 3 of our guys fouled out. Certainly did hurt the 3ptrs were droppin'.

That's the truth, sometimes I wondered if they really did make those 3's.
