It's all Lame Kitten's fault. He's the reason for our football, basketball, and baseball teams stinking.

He's also the reason that world hunger exists, and could also be partially to blame for WMD's in Iran.

Yes he brought all this on himself, Yes we will struggle some through the 8 games he misses on the SEC schedule, Yes we probably will not get a decent big man recruit for the 2011 season which will hurt next year's rotation. This team will still go on to the NCAAT this year making a deeper run than last year due to Pearl coaching for his job!!! He wins with less better than most, that is fact. If the AA drops the hammer on the program for post season ban next year, he will more than likely be fired unfortunately.

We all get your point by now Hat, but you can't deny if Pearl is able to get through this it would be better to keep him than go looking for the next best thing!!!

Yup, that Bruce Pearl is awesome coaching through his personal adversity. Look at 2008-2009. Now that was a team.

I dont agree with what he did but I dont think he should be fired.

His brand of basketball is exciting to me and he his winning enough to suit me. When that stops happening then I will consider the possibility of firing him.

Just take our punishment and move on with Pearl as our coach.

Of all the stupid things that Bruce could do was lie to the NCAA and ask the recruits and their parents to also lie. I've been a huge supporter of Bruce, but this is so far over the line that dismissal is warranted. Wins and losses be damned.

All Vol fans are justified in their disappointment and any anger directed towards CBP.

I am a big Bruce Pearl fan, and I have no love for Calipari, but it is just pathetic that in every thread about how Pearl screwed up someone has got to mention Calipari and what he did was worse/vacated final fours/he is slimey/etc.

Just stop it, please. This kind of thing is what a 4 year old does when he gets caught with his hand in the cookie jar, the 4 year old rats out his brother for something worse. Bruce did it, he got caught, deal with it people.

what does it say for your university when the chancellor gets up in front of a mike and defends a coach who lied during an ncaa investigation .. a coach that the university basically fired two months before???

You know, I can honestly say I've never lied in my profession, or misled a governing body/rules enforcer, etc... I'm not saying I'm a saint. I'm saying it isn't reasonable to "expect" that kind of thing.

Which is worse lying about a secondary violation or lying about a primary violation, or do all lies deserve the death penalty?

All lying deserves a penalty of course but loss of job?

That would be like firing the CEO of Walmart for taking an extra work break and lying about it when confronted. Stockholders would never stand for it.

I think it is kind of hilarious.

Bruce Pearl was suspended for the first 8 games. Very, very ugly would be if Goins and T Harris and Brian Williams and Golden were suspended for the first 8 games.
