I read last night that Cassill will be making his first Cup attempt at Michigan in the #09, I've watched a few of his Nationwide races this year and I haven't been that impressed honestly.

Jr. obviously doesn't like him. I've been a real big fan of him since he came upon the scene. I would say he'll be in the low 30 range. Nothing wrong with that considering the circumstances.

I remember he was supposed to be big time when he hit the nationwaide series but the results weren't really there. I wish the Busch would move back to a developmental league.

I agree somewhat, I mean if a Cup regular wants to run a couple races a year to practice then that's fine but I don't agree running both full time. Marc Reno the GM of Phoenix Racing said it best, "If you don't have a Cup driver you can't compete."

Exactly. It got to a point where the non cup affiliated teams had to pick up a cup driver just for sponsorship and competition purposes. That's now the Nationwide Series.

I don't have a problem with cup drivers racing in the Nationwide series. How many rookies move up to cup each year? Maybe 3 or 4 at the most? The Nationwide doesn't need 40 developmental drivers on the track at the same time. It has a good blend of cup drivers with guys that actually have a chance of getting promoted to cup. I don't care to see career Nationwide drivers like Bobby Hamilton Jr. and don't feel sorry for them when they can't find a sponsor.

If I'm a young driver I'd rather hone my skills against Kyle Busch, Keselowski and Edwards rather than thinking I'm ready for cup by beating Hamilton Jr., Kenny Wallace and David Green.

In the development of young drivers, it is actullay better to have a handful of cup drivers to learn from and test your skills against, imo.

Let the Cup drivers run Nationwide, but only award points to the Nationwide drivers. Drivers would have to declare which division they get points in. This woulld cut down on the number of drivers and the amount of races a Cup driver runs. This also stops Cup drivers from taking points away from the Nationwide drivers.
