Largest crowd since 2008 on Sunday?

Brent Dougherty just mentioned that he talked to some folks on the hill and they are expecting the largest crowd since 2008. Is that the expectation in Knoxville? I'll be driving up Friday.

I don't think so. The Georgia game last year was pretty full and as loud as I have heard it in a while. Wish I could be there but I will have a house full of Vol fans and we will be screaming our heads off.

If you thought that game was packed just wait until Sunday. The 2008 home opener vs UAB had an official attendance of 98,205. This game will have 102,455.

More impressive is the fact that the heavy majority will be Tennessee fans. I can't imagine Utah State bringing the numbers of UCLA/ Oregon crowds.
