I don't follow basketball recruiting very much and have a question. I don't see what makes this a great class? It looked like a group of 3 stars or less that don't have an offer from any elite schools.

I know lol that's why I got off the boards for a little minute.
When will people understand that it's not all about stars. It's about getting players that fit the team. I want 5 stars just as much as the next guy but you can have all the five stars and if they don't mesh as a team. What good are they? Each of these guys are going to bring something different that we will miss next year.
Larry Austin is a true pg that loves to run and get the ball to other players and is also very good on defense.
Jordan Cornish is a wide body wing player that likes to drive to the basket and can provide some shooting
Phil Cofer has the most up side of the 4 and will go and get any and every rebound and hustle his ass off. He's getting better shooting from 15 feet.
C.J. Turman is like Cofer that he goes to get the ball and is a hell of a blocker. He can get up and down the floor.
Stars are good to look at but if they can't get on the floor and prove it they'll be another bust.
Yup. If we lose Saturday I will then no longer back CCM until then it is what it is. I like him as a coach. I think he can get it done. Going on the road in a hostile environment first game wasn't smart. Some blame on Cuonzo some on the players and some on whoever scheduled that game. It happens move on.
Ask Kentucky what stars will do for you. It is easier to judge a guys basketball potential over other sports so the stars should be pretty accurate. Conzo has not proved he can get the job done as a coach. The whole team plays like a bunch of individuals so forgive me for looking at stars. It's also odd how ESPN gets grief because we aren't first in football rankings but since all the guys are higher on their site in basketball it is the go to site.
They all are on every site high 3 stars or low 4's. I'm not going to get into a back and forth with you. I have my opinion you have yours. These guys are going to be good. And the football guys may do so most don't in the basketball forum.
