I am not saying he should win, but he should at least be in the running. He started only 9 games this year and rushed for over 1,700 yards! He had 10 100 yard games, 2 200 yard games, and finished 1st in the AFC in rushing yards, 3rd in the NFL, and averaged 5.2 yards per carry. He also found the endzone 20 times.

He's the hottest back in the NFL right now. I feel kind of stupid right now because I never heard of him in college. Where did he play?

Thanks, Checkers. That explains why I never heard of him. Don't watch a lot of Big 10 games. Have always admired Paterno, though. Great man!

He has been amazing. But honestly, if the MVP goes to any RB aside from Shaun Alexander, it will be a sham.

IF it does go to that selfish pig Alexander, it will be a shame.

i say Carson Palmer.

Me too. But with the rushing title and a league touchdown record, no RB deserves it over Alexander. But yeah, I think Carson Palmer should take it. He, Johnson and Houshmenzedah have been the keys to Cincy's turnaround.

I would have to disagree with your assertion that Rudi Johnson has been one of the keys to the Bengal's turnaround. They did have Corey Dillon prior to that...all he did was consistently rush for 1,500 yards a season.

Getting rid of Dillon is a big reason the Bengals turned it all around, he was a major hold over from the losing years and just wanted out of there. They were on the way up his last season there, but he didn't want to be a part of it, not to mention that Johnson was doing just as good filling in for him.

New England claims he's "changed" and a "different man"... just wait til they have a losing season, he'll want to leave again.

Back to the subject... Alexander will get the MVP. Wouldda been cool if he got a, I dunno, broken leg too to go along with his 20 meaningless carries yesterday just to get a personal accomplishment.
