Last nights race

I don't think it was a bad move. They were going to finish in the 20's regardless. If a caution would have fell he would have pitted and some of the other lead lap cars would have came back in. He would have probably restarted around 10-12. It doesn't matter because he would have just dropped back anyway.

Great website.

Don't be surprised if Junior let's Lance go at some point," said a source in the garage. "Shoot, don't be surprised if Lance goes to another team. It's not what you'd call a match made in heaven. Losing does that, I guess. Someone over there has to be the scape goat and it's not going to be Junior. He sells too many t-shirts. But the problem ain't the crew or the car. It's the driver."
I think it's hilarious that he left DEI because he wanted to be on a team which could contend for championships, yet he's still running in the 20s consistently.

Give credit to Kurt Busch, Steve Addington and the #2 team, they're the best team right now.

I'm also impressed with Jamie Mac this year, I thought he would disappear after winning the 500 but he has run well most of the year.

I'm absolutely shocked that Addington and Busch have gelled. I didn't think that pair would make it through May back when the season started.

As for McMurray, I've never really been much of a fan, but I'm proud of him for being so good this year. It makes me even more happy considering how he's been much more competitive than his teammate.

huh? the reason he's only 6th right now that has been because of some misfortune. the cars have always qualified well and run well. nobody is surprised at their success so far.

To me Kurt's success proves how important the right combo of crew chief and driver is. Last year Kyle was winning and Kurt was struggling, now it's turned around, and what is different?

A lot of people questioned the move back in the Winter.

Kurt didn't struggle too much last year...made it into the chase, finished 4th while Kyle was not even in the chase.

I think the real question is what is up with the #48? I mean I love seeing them struggle, heck I want them too, but something is right since the switch to the spoiler.

Also I loved it when Jeff Burton came over their and confronted Kyle, and like always Kyle put the blame on some body else.

how was that kyles fault? he didn't intentionally run into burton.

For being overly aggressive like he always is. I can somewhat understand it happening in the final laps like it did, but he also did it 2 times earlier in the race when it was pointless.

I think it was just a racing deal so no blame should be put on anyone but certainly not Clint Bowyer. Kyle said Clint made it 3 wide but it looked like he was already there when Kyle squeezed in the middle.

Kyle's struggling? Last time I looked he had won 2 races & was 2nd in points only 29 behind Harvick.

For him to "still be running in the 20s consistently," he would've had to have been doing that before he went to HMS. He somehow managed to be much more competitive even in his year year at TEI when the engine was detonating every other race than he's been at HMS since the middle of 2008. Mesmerizing, but pretty obvious the driver and team aren't a good fit.

As for the Kurt/Kyle/Addington deal, it doesn't matter who is on top of the pit box making the calls for those two. They're winners.

Yeah, Jr. is the one making the personnel decisions at HMS. For God's sake, if he had it his way he'd still be "having fun" with Tony Jr. in the middle of the field on the good days.

I don't put it all on McGrew as most of your Dale Jr. fans will since it's obvious there are problems all throughout that team, but McGrew wasn't exactly what I'd call a proven commodity when he took over for Tony Jr. last year. He was working back in R&D and not crew chiefing for someone full time for a reason.

i don't know that he could translate to Tryson like he can with Addington. lotta people used to say Kyle was better than Kurt, but i'm not sure if that's the case anymore. Kurt certainly owns the hardware.

everybody knows the two can drive; it's about finding a personality to get along with them, who knows what they want without them asking for it. i had no doubt Addington could make fast cars. that was never the issue. clearly, they've hit it off. if the Chase starts tomorrow, they're heavy favorites, and they're doing it in a Dodge.

it is amazing he's gotten worse at Hendrick. i don't know how long Hendrick can allow this to continue or why he hasn't sat him down and let him have hit. it's pretty obvious Fale is happy making his money being a celebrity moonlighting as a NASCAR driver.

everybody says it would have been different had his father been around, but there's no way to know that. i don't think he would look at his career as indignantly as he does now. i get the sense he cares one way or the other.
