Last season for House?

I stopped watching it around season 4 or 5. I felt it was jumping the shark then.

I'll probably go back and watch the remaining seasons I missed, but like golf said, it just got old. It was basically the same every week: some person comes in with a mystery illness, House and his team are stumped, go through a few false diagnosis, throw in some God/Atheist debate, near the end House figures it out, House is a prick and learns nothing, fights with his only real friend, pops some pills, and onto next week.

Ok people, you gotta stop doing this. You can't jump the shark over the course of 2 seasons. That's just a show in decline. Jumping the shark is a single scene or episode that you can't recover from.

I'm not trying to single you out, it's just a pet peeve of mine.

Btw, House got really old, really fast.

True I do use the term too loosely buy it's so much fun to say.

According to wikipedia (not that it's the official authority on the matter) it can describe a particular sceene, episode, or aspect of a show in which the writers use some type of gimmick in a desperate attempt to keep the viewers interest. So think I it works in this case.

As many have said the show was great. I watched til maybe season 4 but lost interest.

Wikipedia goes on to talk about how the term has broadened from it's original meaning. So I suppose it can mean different things to different folks but imo House definitely jumped the shark.

That's what I had thought, that the term has evolved. Heck the website isn't even around anymore.

This is pretty much the only doctor show I can stand on TV. That's too bad it's getting cancelled but I've only seen a handful of episodes with my wife. Plenty of reruns for me to watch.

This year has been somewhat entertaining. For the most part, it was back to old school house. It is getting a bit old. I still watch most episodes, but seeing it leave is understandable. So many good actors on there that I'll miss seeing regularly.

House still makes me laugh.

Tonight's the final episode!

(with an hour long clip show / making of as a prelude...think kinda like that clip show before Seinfeld ended)

Yeah I'm watching this boring ass emotional prequel. Think I'm just gonna come back for the episode.

Finale starts now

(Yeah the prequel was a bit much, but I do have to say that I like the whole idea of "they're going to be destroying all these sets tomorrow...hey, you know what we should do? Use them to play paint ball")
