Last year the new staff had one month, no starter kit (Fulmer's start of a class - pass your own judgement here) and we wound up with a solid start and some great talent. CDD has some support staff already here and part of a class already committed. We have national momentum with all the press coverage. We have a man who can work the Georgia ties and many recruits. We are not in an ideal place, but we can get there. GBO>

Yeah with Dooley we can work Georgia, take some from Miles at LSU because Tenn carrys a bigger name than La Tech so he will get recurits. He was at La Tech and Cut is at Duke and they both had no more than 3 star recurits Dooley has something to work with now.

I like the optimism but to be fair Kiffin inherited a class ranked 13th and growing when he started which is not too far off from the 6th ranked class we had when Kiffin left. Hopefully Dooley won't run off/lose recruits like Lane did (Boyd, Giles, Stokes, etc...) in exchange for players like Nukeese

when you take out nukeese and edwards and realize we lost alshon and giles. Was our class really that much of a succees?

Untrue. Kiffin was hired on the 28th of November. He had over 2 months. Dooley has a hair over 2 weeks.

I don't think I would call our situation momentum... but I like the optimism...

Fulmer had a top 10 recruiting class when he was fired. Kiffin certainly made some great additions, but don't downplay the groundwork that Fulmer had put in place last year.

Dooley has been given such a short time to build a first class, it is a nightmare to think about. But if anyone can get some players fast, I wouldn't put it past Thompson/Dooley.
