I do not believe you can effectively isolate an elederly population from a general population with widespread infection. So I believe we will see rising death tolls in these hotspots.

Regardless of that point, we’ve been seeing steadily rising deaths in Arizona. Florida and Texas holding their own for now.

I don’t believe we’ll see NYC’s repeated in these areas because population density, personal choices, and treatment will ease the situation. But these are real outbreaks in these hotspots - hard to avoid hospitalizations (already going up) and deaths (only rising deaths/day in AZ at this point).

Has the steadily rising deaths outpaced the previous death to infection rate? My guess is no by a large margin. Of course it’s a lagging stat. Two weeks will tell us a lot

Agreed. We've had two positives this week in my office, and neither kid would have ever been brought to medical attention aside from a known exposure. Both had a runny nose and mild cough for two days. No symptoms since.

I trust my own eyes more than I do the media or politicians..... Here is what I have seen with my own eyes:

I know several people that have tested positive with the worst symptoms being loss of smell/taste for a few days.

I have sitt in a meeting talking about a covid patient that died in a car wreck being labeled as a covid death.

I know if you get admitted to the hospital with any reason and then test positive for covid( symptoms or no) then you are labeled as a covid hospitalization.

I have seen the media manipulate info to make things seem worse than it is.

The covid skilled nursing center that is set up to handle covid patients only has 8 patients in it with a good portion of those with no symptoms.

Both hospitals that I deal with including one in a major city was low patient wise....

It’s ok to question things and want to know what is really going on

LOL...Does the idiot Trump lying about it and playing it down make you feel better?

I know two people who have been hospitalized for it.
I know someone who had it but also had heart disease and died and it was labeled as a heart related death, BUT covid was the catalyst for death

Yes, it is ok to question things about it. Plenty of people stay informed about it and have a completely different opinion than you. Most health professionals question things about it every day and most of them have a different opinion than you and many of our resident right wingers
