Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

probably just as much trouble from the patients side. I know my Grandmother turned into an escape artist in those facilities.
Yeah we had one that busted his window... climbed out.... some how scaled the fence around the back and was caught heading down the road near Kingston pike when I worked in knoxville

They called my grandmother Houdini at Memphis.
My grandmother had a car when we moved her in. She liked to have it parked outside her window so she could at least look at it.

She was able to get out through decent security and drive off despite:

1. Security that limited non alarmed egress through two check points. Had open door detectors on patient rooms, and 24/7 patrols of the perimeter. It was scary how much that place was a pretty prison.
2. No keys, she called AAA
3. No battery, AAA
4. No license
5. No money

After that incident my uncle did some more stuff to the car so that it couldnt drive without taking it to the shop.

And she still found a way to get behind the wheel of a car. She found a dealership that gave you a loaner while your car was in the shop.

on another previous excursion she even used one of my young cousins as an excuse. Aunt left the cousin with grandma while the aunt went to bring back food. In the less than an hour my grandma and cousin were across town at grandmas favorite restaurant. She borrowed someone's car to take my cousin "to the hospital".

Yes. This was the email from my HS principal, so not sure if that is the policy of just our HS, or the whole county. I assume all county schools would behave in unison though.
Seems like that would be a HIPPA violation. As a parent, no school is legally entitled to my health I formation.

MN Governor Quietly Reverses Course on Hydroxychloroquine | RealClearPolitics

Uganda passes this drug out like M&M's because of Malaria. They have had only 13 deaths from covid. 😉

“There are now 53 studies that show positive results of hydroxychloroquine in COVID infections,” Hatfill wrote in RealClearPolitics. “There are 14 global studies that show neutral or negative results -- and 10 of them were of patients in very late stages of COVID-19, where no antiviral drug can be expected to have much effect.”

You know, I never viewed this treatment as political because Trump touted it, and his remarks really had no impact as I was just rooting for it to be effective. Conversely, the demonization has had a huge impact on my thoughts.

As such as Trump maybe should not of touted it so early, these Dem Govs are subjecting bans on treatments they were not so qualified.

The randomized placebo-controlled trial, which rapidly launched on March 22, tested if hydroxychloroquine could decrease severity of COVID-19 symptoms and prevent hospitalization. The trial enrolled 491 non-hospitalized adults from across 40 U.S. states and three Canadian provinces. Participants were enrolled in the first four days of symptoms with 56% enrolled within one day of symptom onset.
For early treatment of mild COVID-19, University of Minnesota trial shows hydroxychloroquine has no benefit over placebo

Please tell us again how all of the studies have only been performed on people already on ventilators....

Nb4 EL and the Rona-Bros come in hot with the, "clay Travis isn't qualified," "it was a Monday stats the numbers aren't counted right," "Not many tests on weekends," etc etc etc
They don't like positive news in anyway, shape or form. They're cheering the virus on so they can say told you so

Are they wiping their ass with the mask? Staph isn't going to just appear on your mask from breathing on it.

You do realize your posted study was by UM and the Minn governor just released the treatment...lol.
Take it up with the doctors who disagree with your vaunted assessment.

That is not the consensus belief among MD's. Would this one drug be so important to you, if Trump hadn't politicized it?
Trump wasn’t the one who politicized it. Had the MSM and Dems not gone nuts over it then it wouldn’t be banned all over the place right now. By the way, it is no longer banned in MN and OH so maybe it isn’t as dangerous as MSM and Dems claimed.

Are they wiping their ass with the mask? Staph isn't going to just appear on your mask from breathing on it.

Actually some people are prone to Staph. The people that are prone to staph infections are usually the ones that are needing some type of mask to wear the most because of their illness . It’s almost like a catch 22 .

The consensus opinion among epidemiologists and virologists has been that it doesn't. I haven't bashed any MD's for expressing a professional opinion, or attacked any of them for being politically partisan. Can you say the same about Trump and his White House staff? Not if you are being honest.

Trump, like he does with everything else, has politicized this subject matter. That has everything to do with his ego, and with his need to take a victory lap. It is pathetic.
Not a consensus.
Yale epidemiologist says hydroxychloroquine is 'the key to defeating COVID-19'
