Very disappointed in my shingles vaccine today
1) No I didn't cry sticker
2) No super hero band-aid
3) No Shingles Vaccine of America Club membership card
4) No cool Facebook "I'm superior because I got jabbed" shingles profile frames
Basically all you get is a sore arm and a generic bandage

You sir are a hero. I’m certain you got jabbed to protect others and their pets from getting the shingles from you.

I've never gotten anything cool for any of my vaccinations, even Covid. Just "Here's a bandaid, my wait fifteen minutes".

Some of the ones who tested positive were vaxxed.

But the protocols only exempted a team from testing if every player and staff member had been vaccinated.

From a practical point of view, the NCAA should have required the two unvaccinated players and any vaxxed players that exhibited symptoms to quarantine and let everyone else play. But from an equally practical point of view, NC State should have left any player that declined to be vaccinated at home.

The entire season?

The entire season?

The protocols surrounding vaxxed vs unvaxxed didn't kick in until the tourney started. Throughout the regular season the policy was the same as it was for football and basketball.

If I were the head coach I would've told them that I couldn't require them to take the vaccine, but I'm not willing to risk my world series on taking them with me.

I can tell you that multiple SEC football coaches have informed their teams that not getting vaccinated will lead to not playing. I'll bet you can guess at least a couple of them.

I wonder if they are aware that the CDC has released information clearly demonstrating an increased rate of myocarditis and pericarditis after CV19 vaccination, especially in children and young adult males.

We heard the same thing leading up to the college football season: Covid will cause myocarditis. It's the exact excuse the Big 10 gave when they origninally canceled their season. How about we not knee jerk this time until there are enough cases for the numbers to be meaningful?

The difference being we were told the virus would cause myocarditis and it didn’t. We weren’t told the vaccine would cause myocarditis and it did.

12.6 cases per million doses is not statistically significant enough to draw conclusions. It's a higher risk than getting struck by lightning, but not by much. It's less than the number of naturally occurring cases of myocarditis in an average year (10 out of 100,000 people worldwide).
