As someone who spent 4 days in Cox Hospital and received great care earlier this year. I had double pneumonia. I understand his frustration with some in the area. Steve is a great guy. He just let his frustrations take the best of him.

I find out funny the people who likely would have taken the vaccine but decided not to because an authority figure said to. It's like when I tell my son to mow the lawn and he bucks up because he was going to do it but now that I am on his case he's not going to.

That’s because a lot of people have sat back, watched this circus, realized it’s not the apocalypse despite what the media says, and don’t feel like playing along. If you want to get the vaccine by all means get it. If you don’t, don't. But don’t blame the unvaccinated for lockdowns and draconian measures. That is the direct fault of our leadership and experts creating arbitrary metrics for political posturing. If the vaccine works the vaccinated should move about without fear. If the virus is truly an unstoppable mankiller the unvaccinated would be wise to get it. Until that time stop worrying about what other people are doing.

I don’t know if it’s so much people thumbing their nose at authority, but I do believe it has more to do with the fact that this vaccine did not go through the normal trial periods. Combine that with those that already have antibodies and the increasing numbers of side effects and complications from the vaccine, there’s a lot of reasons to not rush in.

Superspreader parade and fireworks in Farragut today. Must've missed Pelosi's message...

I actually saw only one mask at the entire parade of several thousands this morning. Who was it on? A younger member marching with the Knox County Democratic Party. Had to chuckle.
