Apparently they pulled the story if the link was going to the correct spot. Since I didn't get the chance to read it I can't say whether it had anything in it that would lead to any complaints to have it taken down.

Curious as to what it said though...

Apparently, she sent a text message to her teammates saying she left due to a dispute with the coach.

Well hell, I saw the article yesterday and didn't realize that first link wasn't done correctly. My bad. Still, I don't understand how anybody bought that "illness" crap even before this came out. Who the hell quits their HS team because of an injury or illness but can still play in two AA games? Uh, ok.

My favorite part is how the Buford principal went over Durden's head and wrote (at the "request" of the Davis family) a letter to the McDonald's people that explained she was leaving for medical reasons. No way in hell will Mama's little girl not be on an AA team, although the rules clearly state that if you quit or are dismissed from your HS team, you don't qualify.

I don't blame the person that released the text for staying anonymous. They're probably afraid of what will be done by her parents if they were to find out who it is.

and this was fishy too

Bitterman confirmed he did compose the letter at the request of the Davis family and faxed it to the McDonald’s All-American committee. However, he declined to state for the record whether he was aware of the text message at the time he wrote the letter.

Apparently, she tried to strong arm us into not recruiting Mercedes Russell. She wanted to be the only big name in the class. I think there is no doubt we got the better end of the deal on that one.

Were solid at every position. I wish we had another solid post player but other than that were loaded for next season. I think we'll play ten and no one will be unhappy with their playing time.

I'll "calm down" when you pull your head out of your behind and quit believing the garbage that is being fed to you by the Davises.

And I don't drink, BTW.

And yes, Holly and the staff dodged a huge bullet. Kendra is a nightmare, Antonio doesn't have the balls to even attempt to control her craziness, and Kaela isn't exactly a little angel, either. Let her be Georgia Tech's problem.
