He would have been useful no doubt, but WR is where we are most talented AND deep. I think Wolf is head and shoulders above every other TE on the depth chart as a pass catcher and losing him hurts our intermediate passing game worse than anything.

What I don't get is how the coaches raved about certain players ala Ev Berry (on kickoffs) and Vic in the slot and even Malone on k/off returns and none of that has yet maerialized..........if they can play......let em play or don't blow smoke.....kinda like blowin smoke about Coleman Thomas all summer and then he doesn't even see any action

Josh Sanchez is the guy you're referring to. He's had 5 interceptions in last 4 games, freshman AA last year. They announced today that he has a shoulder bruise, but will practice all week and play on Saturday.
