His top 3 include Tennessee, Oklahoma & Arizona State. I like where we stand. We haven't offered yet according to Rivals, but I think there's a good chance we do.

There aren't many articles out on McGee yet. He's only mentioned that we've sent an offer. Time will tell.

awesome size on that guy, wonder why we have not offered the #15 DT in the country, esp considering how thin we are.......HV?

I have no insight on this particular situation, so this is only an assumption. If we have not offered an interested and talented DT his early in the process then a grade issue is the first reason that would pop into my mind.

I think we should push for him. He definitely has some talented teammates as well. DT isn't a massive need, but it is one of our bigger needs.

DT is always a massive need.....you can never have enough, depth is so important for the fourth qtr

Not a massive need at all. We have 7 or 8 guys who can play there next year. 2009 looks good too.

Bolden, Williams, Langley are a good 3

Fisher,Brimfield, Nelson, Vic Thomas will be the backups

Melancon coming 2009

when you can rotate DTs of equal ability throughout four quarters and all your guys are fresh in the 4th......that's how you win a championship....therefore DT is always a massive need

Quality is a need, not quantity. We will pick and choose who we take, not just sign 3 or 4 DTs to sign 3 or 4 DTs. That is a waste of schollys.

I didnt think that I needed to point that out, I wasnt suggesting that the Vols sign HV as a DT.

HV,
appreciate all your insight man

What do you think our record will be this year.
I'll stick with my 9-3 and 10-2 if all things go our way

I actually like everything about this team....

Offense should be good with the TE's helping the receivers out.

Defense should be fine. DE's are good. Mapu, Bolden, & Williams can get it done @ DT. Need depth though. LB's are fine. Secondary will be fine as well. Hefney is solid and plenty of talent to plug in.

We're his number 1 school right now for sure. He has nothing but good things to say about Tennessee. Guy is ranked as the 129th best prospect according to Rivals. His top five include Tennessee, Arizona State, Nebraska, Oregon, and Oklahoma. He says Tennessee is on top with Oklahoma at #5. Distance isn't a factor, he also says he's looking for the best program and right now Tennessee is that program. Guy says he could see himself living there for the next 4 years. Guy plans to attend to Georgia game in October and make his decision later that month. Rivals shows that we haven't offered yet, but with his athleticism at the DT spot, I would not see the the Vols passing on him.
