Let them live on $300/week unemployment for 26 weeks. Thereafter, they might qualify for a minimum wage job somewhere.

The fact that these fools believe families can live on $300/week is mind boggling. They’re out for $75 dinners every night they are in Washington on our dime

Bass turds each and every one of them

Umm you know the $300 is on top of unemployment pay right? It's a Federal premium on top of what you normally qualify from your state.

They should be fired, for giving a single dollar and even creating this whole bill, that continues the financial destruction of our children and grandchildren. We are ridiculously selfish.

Wait... you are ripping on politicians? In the government?

I thought you liberals loved government and had faith in the people that represented you?

Wow...

How about just having these governors and mayors open up and it will take care of itself.

I'm curious and I'm not saying there aren't places that aren't shut down, so nobody start flaming me. Show of hands... Who on the PF is actually in an area that is totally shut down right now? If not totally shut what are your restrictions? If there is a mandate is it state or local?

I'm in an area where restaurants, bars, stores are fully open. We have a mask mandate but the government doesn't enforce it. I enforce in my business, but I've never really had to tell anybody to put one on. Some businesses don't enforce.

Where are you with the bars fully open?

Here in Kentucky the Governor just raised the maximum capacity to 60%. It had been 50% for the past three months. Before that it had been 0% for a few weeks. The 60% sounds nice, but when you still have to abide by social distancing rules, it makes it almost impossible to reach 60% for a lot of restaurants. Plus bar seating still isn’t being allowed and all bars and restaurants have a last call curfew of 11 pm.

The $300 a week is a boost on top of whatever someone is getting. I know people getting 800-900 a week for sitting on their azz. All because their employers agree that lockdowns worked.

You are the one who voted for this crap. Now wallow in it.

Mid-tn. I guess I should say that the state of TN recommends that groups are six feet apart, but a week ago I went to brunch on Sunday at a bar, every table was full, none were six feet apart, and every seat at the bar was full.
I don’t think the bars are supposed to be at full capacity just yet and their hours are still restricted .... because covid comes out after 11

Or people take responsibility for their own lives and actually make good decisions for them and their families

Maryland certainly had some super draconian lockdown measures. It’s eased up some...I think most things can open now with 50% capacity. Schools and libraries still closed. It’s absurd.

But if I somewhat agree with your point. Since the lockdowns have eased, why do we need that monstrosity of a COVID bill?

You know what... you should have been saying this last March when these governors and mayors were out here shutting down businesses. Any governor or mayor that called for shutdowns should have been not been paid until they felt the situation was clear. That way, each of those people would have had skin in the game.

Agree!! I said this very early on. The people making the decisions had none of the consequences.

And who did the people you know "sitting on their azz" vote for? How often to you call them out with your strong language?
