IF we whiff on Christian Jones and LaDarius Owens, who do we go for after that? After looking through the Rivals LB, it doesn't look there are a wealth of talented LBs we are in on this year (or in general).

We just pull a phil fulmer and clap our hands and say we did a heckofa job recruiting Lb's but we will just try our hardest next year.

Corey Nelson would be the one we want the most. But we are still pursuing/looking at guys like C.J. Mosley, Prince Shembo, Tyrone Cornelius, Nicholas Parker, Josh Shirley, and Tenerio Davis...

Thanks, LV, I was hoping for your input! What do you think about our chances with Shirley? He looks like a solid prospect.

Also, did that thing with Michael Taylor amount to anything? I hope not.

I don't know how much we are really pursuing Shirley. It doesn't feel like we are on him too hard atm...

Taylor is all Vol...

Underrated imo... fits UT's system very well also...

There hasn't been much love for Ralph Williams...I understand he is academically questionable, but do we not think he is talented enough anymore? I don't see why we'd accept his verbal then recruit over him...seems kind of dirty, but I guess that's the game of recruiting.

Ralph is a good guy but, if their is better prospects at LB reel them in. Im going to support the coaches in the way they handle this situation.

I agree and I think the staff does too. Orgeron had an in-home visit with him a week or so ago...

I think they like Williams just fine, but there are some LBs they want more. It's looking like he can qualify now. His film is very impressive...

Isn't Parker's grades sending him JUCO and is he a better RB or LB? This is the guy from S.Panola right?

Cornelius is a beast. We need to concentrate on the somewhat under the radar guys that have a chip on their shoulder and something to prove. Josh Shirley is a beast also.

Thanks, good thread, informative responses. This is what I come to this site for each day, not the stupid jokes and failed comedy routines.
