Good for him. I liked CJ for the most part... I think any problem I had with him stemmed from his dad.

Good for him. Pretty amazing to go in as a Tight End and end up as an NFL QB, even if it is just on the practice squad.

I don't think he is playing QB at all. There's no way Leak can make it at QB if Casey Clausen couldn't. If Leak is at QB, the Buffalo Bills are run even worse than most have previously thought.

I don't think there's any danger of him being activated anytime soon. It's pretty evident that he's making the practice squad based on his raw athletic ability which makes him very, very versatile. He's a good guy to have around since practice team spots are so limited.

Yeah, you can't just go by the fact that CC washed out quick... Lorenzen is still on the Giants' roster. :wacko:

That's not a bad gig either. How much do the practice squad players get paid to play football a few hours a day, 4 or 5 days a week?

The article clearly states that CJ was signed as a tight end. Clausen couldn't make it as an NFL QB, and there is no way that Leak will either. Everyone has seen what he can do as a QB. It remains to be seen how he can perform as a TE.

Yeah, you're right. I misread it.

I still think this is less about him actually making the team than it is about him being a good guy to have on the practice squad due to his versatility. If they truly are looking at develpoing him as a TE, it's going to be a LOOOOONG term project.

Curt Warner went from Arena League to NFL Europe to Super Bowl champ, its not outside of the realm of possibility. The jags have Arkansas starting QB playing WR for them. Its not that unheard of.

I'm more surprised Rob Smith is only a scout team player. He went early to be a scout team player in the NFL? What a disappointment.

I am glad Leak is getting a chance. I had high hopes for him at UT. To bad it didnt work out.

if C.J had worked harder he could have ben something else, but he was lazy. he wont work hard there either, he could have ben alot better than his brother , which isnt saying alot in my opinnion.
