He has hinted at retirement all year, and the board members are still split on his performance. I'm sure he doesn't mind getting the hell out before the Calipari shat hits the fan, so he doesn't have to take that blame as well. (if and when it does)

A Louisville television station is reporting that sources have told them that University of Kentucky President Dr. Lee Todd will be stepping down.

WHAS11 said that an announcement is expected to be made at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Lexington. They say there has been a split among current board members regarding Todd's performance.

LEX 18 will attend the 3 p.m. announcement and will have official word as it becomes available.

Interesting. Thanks for the info.

And what kind of mustard will they have available at uk basketball games this year ? The same as last year or have they considered offering a different brand ?

I thought Todd was always a little too much sizzle and not enough steak. He put himself out as the face of the University, set a very public (and misleading, IMO,) goal of making the school a top 50 public university, and never quite made it.

All in all, I think UK will be just fine with whoever they name to replace him, but I doubt the choice will be a guy who aspires to quite as much celebrity.

At least the troglodytes can't boo him anymore at the football games.

As much as I hated CRB during his first 3 seasons or so, credit Lee Todd for standing behind him.

What were the major issues with him? Does it all go back to decisions on basketball coaches? Sad, if true.
