In a fit of boredom, I have dug up a few names of in-state prospects who have not been discussed here. Anyone have any idea on whether any of these guys could have the Vols' interest? Mostly, these guys stood out to me based on size for their stated postions.

Clayton France, Collierville WR/DB
Bryant Belew, Columbia WR/DB
Trey McPhail Nashville QB
Scott Parrot Soddy Daisy QB
Bo Wallace Pulaski QB
Tevin McDermott Athens WR/DB
Davis Tull Knoxville WR
Keenon Rush Chattanooga S
Lawrence Peterson Memphis LB
Corey Jones Memphis LB
Jared Duke Cleveland OL
Eddie Turner Memphis OL
Zak Tait Knoxville OL
Lee Kizer Portland C

rex. maybe it's too early to yanks people's heads out of the clouds but who is the staff going to target if they do not get Heaps or Scroggins? And are those two guys really that good anyway? This seems to be a thin year for elite QB prospects. Is there some sleeper out there?

Mcdermott has tons of potential...but work ethic and holding on to the ball are problems.

Zak Tait will be a tough one to figure out. After the injury he had, we'll have to see how he plays this upcoming year.

Clayton France- he is a short kid (5'8) who plays LB more than WR . he is a better defensive player but he wont get any looks from UT

Bryant Belew- Has good size and speed. Is underrated IMO...but he wont get any real looks from TN. Ole Miss seems to have the most interest

Trey McPhail-Decent arm......above average mobilty..but the offense he is in is very basic in terms of reads and checks. I dont have him as one my top tier QBs in the state, but he is solid. Not the kind of prospect UT would be interested in

Scott Parrott- Love his size(6'4) has a nice arm, good touch. Needs to work on his footwork. Not a prospect that IMO UT would have interest in

Tevin Mcdermott- Now here is a kid who is a sleeper. Makes plays on both side of the ball. Could play safety or WR at next level..

Davis Tull- Made the all nike combine team and had a sparq score of over 100, so you know he is a solid athlete. He was all region last year as a DE.....has great size 6'3 205. You will hear alot about Tull in the fall

Keenon Rush- also plays QB for McCallie and has a cannon, but projects more as an ATH. Has some ability to play QB at the next level....but could also play WR

Corey Jones-has tremendous size and in some games was just down right dominate....is raw, but at that size 6'5 220ish...you have alot to work with had double digit sacks as a JR and 90 + tackles

Eddie Turner- Great kid who plays with takes no prisoners on the field. May need to lose a little weight and has to work on his leverage and improve as a pass blocker, but has alot of potential.

lee Kizer- Look for a story on TNVarsity, I'm suppose to talk to him today. A very strong kid who takes weight lifting to another level.

I know this was addressed to Rex, but I thought I would offer my 2 cents. I look for Andrew Hendrix, QB out of Ohio to make a big splash soon. He has flown under the radar for the most part, but this kid could and probably will end up being a top tier QB prospect this year. He has all the tools. I know UT coaches have already been to watch him practice and are showing quite a bit of interest. There have been a lot of schools recently offer and the list is growing. I thought at first this kid my be a good QB to land after they get a Heaps or Scroggins, but honestly, he might end up being as good or better as either one of these guys when it is all said and done. Definitely one to keep an eye on, IMO.
