And removing the exclusionary zoning just allows more residential in commercial areas as secondary uses. So in the case of the evil liquor store they mention the owner can now legally live in the same building if they own it. It also goes the other way, if you have a side hustle you run out of your home you will be able to do that. Typically this is not going to allow any non family employees or anything hazardous. It wont be putting in a tannery next to child care.
