I am getting these together and making them from files that LWSVOL (Larry) has given me. It's a great tool and it's pretty cool to look back and who we signed back in the day. The rankings are going to go back to 1993. Thank you Larry for the information and I hope I do it justice. Enjoy all.

Just to let you guys know, I will be doing a couple of years at a time. Enjoy as they are finished.

1993 Recruit Rankings
1994 Recruits
1995 Recruits
1996 Recruit Rankings
1997 Recruit Rankings
1998 Recruit Rankings

They start getting longer and wider with the upcoming years....

Man...I remember seeing Leonard Little on campus...dude was a beast.....people would actually cross the street walking to class just so they didn't have to be on the same side as him....

Not a lot of big name NFL players on the 1993 list of prospects....although it's pretty interesting that Mike Vrabel was recruited as the #1 tight end that year.

Ivan Zeon drown before he ever got to school. Was a bad a$$ DE. They honored him before the game that fall, had his parents at midfield.

Thanks for the work, good look back. The 93 class had several casualties due to our judicial system. Tommel Hurd was a stud db from Dallas. If I remember he got busted for armed robbery. Then Travis Cozart, who actually played for us one spring and then maybe even in Canada, got busted for drugs and had to go jc prior to his month long stint here. Pretty sure it was drugs again here. For some reason I want to say Juran Bolden go into trouble and never made it here either, might be wrong on that one. I think he even played in the NFL, Falcons rings a bell. Fulmer was never shy about signing recruits with lets say checkered pasts.

I didn't know Al Wilson was a SS recruit. That got me wondering...who's the better UT football player, Al Wilson or Eric Berry?

Thanks Eric. Man this is cool. I have been hoping someone could dig something like this up for while. Rivals only goes back to like 2002.

On another note. Was Jamal Lewis seriously recruited as a fullback? That, I did not know.

Heard Hubbs on the radio last week talking about Lewis and his recruitment by Garner. Hubbs said Garner was none too pleased when Hubbs questioned him about Lewis playing RB in college. Garner fully anticipated him being a stud at RB, not FB.

Dang 1996 sure was a good year for us at running back! Travis Henry at RB, Jamal Lewis as our big back, and Travis Stephens at APB.

Hopefully the 2009 class will turn out the same way here for us (Bryce Brown at RB, Toney Williams at big back, David Oku as APB)!
