Netflix reportedly developing live-action Legend of Zelda TV series - CNET

The streaming service is even describing the show as a more family-friendly take on HBO's "Game of Thrones," the report said, as the ultra-violent medieval drama and the Zelda series share some fantasy elements. Japanese game giant and Zelda developer Nintendo, which is currently creating the next game title in the series due out later this year for its Wii U game console, is said to be working closely with Netflix on the project.

Interesting. Not sure how I feel about live action. Seems like it should be animated.

There was an animated series in 1989 that was not quite as terrible as that.

Regardless, that has no bearing on what Netflix is capable of producing. I'm excited to see what they come up with.

I do agree with Huff that an Animated film would probably better serve the property though.

Dumbasses. I hate Nintendo. They made me so happy as a kid, but they're just bastards now, the way they horde their IP.

Well that stinks but maybe it's for the best.

I actually read a pretty good break down of why they shouldn't do a Zelda show. Even though I was initially excited about the news, I tend to agree with most of their points...

But then again, Nintendo needs to do something to generate some revenue or they will go the way of Sega before the next generation of consoles start.
