The Cardinals have released Matt Leinart:

I wonder exactly what the deal is here? It's always seemed to me like Whisenhunt has been determined for whatever reason that Leinart wasn't going to cut it, and this seems to confirm that. Maybe it does go beyond football, as Leinhart has suggested? Or is he really just a bust?

Leinart has yet to realize that simply being Matt Leinart doesnt count for much.

As a Cardinals season ticket holder for the last 5 years, I can tell you that it is Leinart, not Whisenhunt. Leinart has a week arm, but more than that, he is incredibly indecisive in the pocket. He goes through his progression so slowly that even when he ends up completing a pass he usually hangs his wide receiver out to dry. Case in point, in Week 1 of the preseason this year, Larry Fitzgerald injured his hip on a hit from the safety on a deep square in route. The pass was a full two-seconds late, and that is the only reason that the safety was even anywhere near Fitzgerald when the ball arrived. Leinart sucks!
