Leon Houston has been set free by a judge

So he served almost 3 years for a verbal death threat to his lawyer.

He's nutty enough to now carry it out. If I was his attorney, I'd be concerned.

How did he get out of that? Were the cops bad or something?

All depends which side you believe.

I think I work with half of Roane Co. and they all have different opinions.

Ultimately, it was so murky on both sides I don't think either party was blameless.

Back in high school before I joined the Navy, I stopped by a Rocky Top market to get something to eat before going home after partying. Leon was eating at a table next to me when some guy tried to talk to him. Leon threatened his life with a knife if he didn't leave him alone so he could eat. Turned out they two were cousins. I always stayed cleat of him after that event.

They were on their porch eating canned peaches when they gunned down the cop and his buddy. It all makes sense now.

Anything else typed after that I didnt pay attention because it doesnt matter.

Cops shouldnt be allowed to harrass folks on their property... Whether they are eatting peaches, growing reefer or making shine.

Which is why I kind of like those two brothers. Guys like those keep ISIS away.

This line of thinking could lead to dark places. Doesn't matter what you do so long as it's on your own property. Kill babies, rape, torture, so long as it's on my land the cops can't touch me. Makes perfect sense.

According to ras, if isis was in America and were operating on their own land the cops can't touch them.

If they were bothering no one then there's no reason for the cops to be involved. Thought crime is not law yet

Naming them a terrorist group implies they've actually acted. How do you tell the difference just by looks?

I used isis as an example because they're a known terrorist group. I'm not sure why you responded to my post. If these brothers had committed a crime and were being served an arrest warrant the cops had a right to be there. Now anything beyond that the cops have no right to do. No thought however horrible is a crime till acted upon.

You have common sense... obviously, if there is a crime being committed where someone is being hurt, they need to be stopped. You're smarter than that.

One wasn't even a cop. The whole thing seems fishy.

Except that isn't what happened.

Just trying to make a point. I'll be the first to admit cops these days are overstepping their bounds and much to trigger happy to go along with a huge chip on their shoulder ready to beat anyone to a pulp if they look at them sideways.

I was once pulled over by a known douchebag cop on a dark road. I slowed down then proceeded to drive till I found a well lit parking lot. He went on the biggest, vulgar over the top rant about how whenever a cop gets behind you, you pull your ass over immediately. I told him it was well within my rights to find a well lit area for both my safety and his. Oh and the reason he pulled me over was I accidentally crossed over into the other lane when pulling out onto a small two lane road. I hate that guy and cops like him.

It seems if that were true it would have been a very short trial followed by a very long sentence. That's easily documented and proven
