Les Miles About To Become The Modern Day Johnny Majors?

Hope not on both counts. We need for him to stay at LSU since he is still playing with Saban's players. I firmly believe when all of Saban's players are gone he will revert back to the deer in the headlights school of coaching.

If I was hiring at UM Brian Kelly would get the offer first.

Les should stay at LSU, I hate to think of how many nat'l titles LSU will win with Darth Visor at the helm

There is an interesting timing issue at play, as well. Assuming, of course, that LSU makes the NCG and Michigan wants Miles, will UM be willing to wait until the middle of January to announce their new coach?

Miles has a clause in his contract that makes the payout if he goes to Michigan minimal. LSU knew going in that he would jump at the chance to go to Ann Arbor.

I dont think Pelini is ready to take over a school like LSU or Nebraska.

If his defense would of kept playing the last 8 games like they played the first three then id say otherwise, but Les's 4th down gambling has bailed them out more often this year than Bo's D

Brian Kelly is coming to Knoxville. Book it! :p

He's currently got the most penalized team in the nation. I'm not sure how that would work in the SEC. Although, the Gators were the most penalized team in the SEC last year.

Jimbo isn't going to get offered the FSU job at first, they will go after Richt...

Jimbo was hired under the assumption that he'd get first dibs at the HC spot at FSU.

But I'd think that Richt would get the first look myself.

Pelini = Nebraska's next head coach IMO.

That leaves..... Jimbo Fisher if Bowden returns to FSU, Brian Kelly, Brent Venables.......

Seems very probable this will happen. That being said, what is the best way to make it happen?

Do it all behind closed doors, knowing it will never stay "closed"?

Own up to it, say I am leaving but will coach out the season?

this is a phrase he should learn:
"i will not discuss anything related to job openings"

he can't say anything one way or the other, obviously, he's got to want the shot at michigan, but at the same time, he doesn't want to be villanized like saban. he can't let himself be pushed in to answering someting one way or the other.

so, two words:
Plausible deniability.

let his people talk to their people, and don't say diddly until it's all over.
