I think we could have a valid discussion if the thread was reworded to ask,
"Have we learned anything about SEC basketball from results so far in the tournament? What was lacking?"
Our regional insecurities always present as needless bluster when we get on the national stage, despite the frequency of our appearances there. It may be that the "superiority of the SEC" only brings out the best in our opponents, just as it did for us back in the 60s and 70s when we went up against the UCLAs, Penn States, and Notre Dames.
