The Red Sox's John Lester has just thrown a no hitter in a 7-0 victory over the Kansas City Royals.

Yeah, I was waiting for it, that is always special to be able to witness on TV... nothing would be cooler than to see a no hitter in person... impressive stuff by Lester!

I totally forgot about how Lester overcame his diagnosis of cancer... that really is something special to be able to come back and throw a no hitter.

You dont know how pissed I am right now, had to wait until the 9th for espn to show it.

Things like this make me hating not having the MLB package.

That really is rough for you not being able to see it, at least they broke in for the 9th. It sure does suck not being able to see your team out of the area. But in all seriousness, congratulations to you, the Sox, and Lester.... not very often you witness that let alone for "your team"

I don't get too excited about no-no's, because my team has never had one. Let's Go Mets!

Yeah, because you know Boston is never on Sunday, Monday, or Wednesday Night Baseball. At all.

yeah... it would be one thing if they were on national TV say as much as the Athletics, but the Red Sox never get on TV. Some things in life just aren't fair.

I'm a Braves fan and the last game I saw was the Phillies v. Braves last Wednesday on ESPN. Good thing A-Rod wasn't playing fetch with a dog because they would have interupted that game for that.

Man I hate that Ted Turner. Also, the area I live has no MLB team on FSN. We used to have the O's but that MASN, I think, somehow has them now and that channel is not in our cable package.

So.....if I watch baseball on TV it involves the Red Sox, Yankees, Mets, Cubs, White Sox. Even TBS Sunday baseball picks up the Northeast's scraps.

Can't think of many more deserving people to throw one than Lester. Who would have thought that with that Boston rotation that the last 2 players on that team to throw no-hitters would be Clay Buchholtz and Jon Lester?

More times than not effectively wild pitchers throw no-hitters before All-Stars like Beckett and Dice K do. Pitchers like that are always around the strike zone and have great control. It's easy to step in on them.

Someone like Nolan Ryan who throws 100 MPH and didn't know where the hell it was going was more apt to throw no hitters. Simple logic actually.
