Let's form a pact this week, with Michigan, Syracuse and TCU.

Let's break open some windows and get fresh air flowing through college football.

Let's agree to eliminate the stale, musty odor of Bama...Georgia...Ohio State...Oklahoma...Clemson.

The college football world is tired of seeing the same match-ups involving the same five programs, over and over again.

Let's clean house.

Look, our Vols have broad enough shoulders to take care of almost half the problem, just on our own. Need the Wolverines, Orangemen, and Horned Frogs to do their parts.

Let's have a college football playoffs with none of the usual suspects.

Go Vols!

Nah. I want to see Clemson in the playoffs. They are prolly who I root for the most outside of Tennessee. I would love to see Tennessee vs Clemson in a playoff game. Ever since Dabo got them rolling, I’ve always wanted us to get back rolling as well to eventually play them. Clemson vs Tennessee in a top 5 matchup would be great for college football and recruiting.

Boomer Sooner is already gone. I’d love for ‘Cuse to beat the stone fondlers. I have the tiniest of soft spots for OSU because I used to live in Cbus and my wife’s grandparents are diehard Bucks and I happen to like them (also we’re 1-0 against them all time). That said, I didn’t shed any tears last year when U of M won, and I wouldn’t hate to see it this year either. I think we match up better against Michigan, as their strength is the run and if we could contain Corum, I doubt their qb can keep up with us. I worry that the Buckeyes are just us with a better defense, and that would be a tall task.

That said, if we win out and win the SECCG, that’s
1. Tennessee
Bama is out because either they lost a west game or to us a second time.

If Michigan beats Ohio State and doesn’t slip up elsewhere,
2. Michigan
You’re not going to see two B1G teams; that conference is further below the SEC than normal this year, imo.

If TCU wins out and wins the Big XII (very tough, they’ve got K State and Texas left, among others).
3. TCU
Oklahoma’s already out of contention anyway.

If Syracuse beats Clemson, but drops at least one to Pitt or Wake (and frankly them winning all three of those games is at the boundaries of plausibility) Clemson is gone but a 1-loss UGA might have the strongest case for inclusion unless…

UCLA handles their biz in the Pac 12, in which case,
4. UCLA

I like that lineup quite a lot.
