Coach Dooley hasn't worked out, I truly hate it, won't go into the multiple reasons, I am really sorry it didn't work. He is gone,

Get off of bashing this team (players especially), We will have another bunch of prospects to come and some already chosen. People if we have a bad recruiting class we are looking at 3 more dismal years, We have got to start now helping the new coach by being UT fans and I mean the kind of fans we had before all the 90's success, We had great teams if you have read our history. We also had some very lean years thru 70's and80's, we still filled the stadium. Please come back the decision for a coach has been made. Let's fill Vandy's stadium with 50% orange and then vs Ky light up 100 thou and wow those recruits. For me it is well worth the effort. And let the johnny come lately bunch root for Alabama or Notre Dame or Oregon or U get the picture. Tennesse needs you the fan to help out. Do not accuse me of being a Doolite, A new coach is coming, please help recruit. It is your team too.

Don't know of a single recruit whose been influenced by fan opinions.

Well just because u don't know of any, doesn't mean there haven't been any... Because I happen to know for a fact that fans have influenced recruits.

Fill Vandy's stadium with 50% orange? This may be the first time in history that Vandy fans have out numbered Vol fans for a game in Nashville. I thought the crowd today was great all things considered. Alot of empty seats but if the weather hadn't been perfect it could have been way worse.

Hate to say it, but people like this are just plain dumb. EVERY college has a web site dedicated to it where people spew nonsense. UT is no different.

If you really think super star football prospects tune in to web sites and click on minuscule threads started by Joe Nobody, than maybe you need to get a life. Seriously.

If a parent has a son who is trying to decide between schools "A", "B" & "U.T." but can't make the final decision, they may look on a website such as this.

Let's say for instance, that Justin Hunter was considering coming to U.T., Miami or UGA. His parents get on this website in 2007 or 2008 and see how horribly some people on here are talking about Arian Foster and/or his mother. I would venture to say that they would advise their son to NOT come to U.T. because of how the fans talk about the players....
When you play college sports, you want to be appreciated and not belittled because you miss a game winning field goal (Daniel Lincoln) or you fumble against Penn State to cause us to lose the game (Foster)

How about Gabe Wrights parents or Gabe Wright log on here and see how we talk about Gerald Jones or Bryce Brown. Then he decides to go to Auburn.

I guess the thing I felt when writing this was the negative posts, you are right the fans today did their part. i was proud of that, This post was for all we VOL fans to support the new coacing staff with our presence in the next 2 games. We have been over 50% vols at Vandy during my time. Why not now

The fact that you read and commented pretty well makes the point, This coach is gone, bash him all you want, but it doesn't do UT any good now a new bunch of coaches will come, this year, don't make their job harder

yew they do. Try being positive for the last 2 games,Players that come to and choose UT over other schools need our support(The new coach will need it also unless it is General Neyland incarnate ) Don't know new coaches name but it is done.

I fell ya I think once we know who it is the fans will rally behind him. Actually I think there is enough respect for Dooley as a person that if he's fired on Monday but still coaches the last two games the fans will rally for him.

What I mean is if Dooley gets the you won't be retained type firing like Joker Phillips and coaches the last two games the fans will rally for him.

It's a two-way street.

You hire a good coach, I get behind him.

You hire another 17-20 losing coach, I contemplate whether you're truly qualified to be a AD.

Just asking, If your Heisman hopeful son was complentating UT would all this affect your decision, Try reading those fan sites from other schools of winning teams (we have been so mad this year we lost our perspective {Time to comeback to reality we cheer fot UT and new coaches,

Yeah, and in 3 years you'll be calling for this new coach's head too. I've dropped the Doolaide but I see this very easily becoming a broken record. Unless they've got someone proven lined up...They can't afford to hire someone to learn while on the job (look what happened with Dooley). I don't envy Dave Hart right now.

I'd like to know who our new coach is before I get behind him or the people who hire him. I'm not impressed with any leadership UT administration has shown thus far.

The opinions and post of people on this site don't mean squat to recruits. Seeing a full stadium full of screaming fans does. Dooley is the reason that recruiting looks bad. There is no doubt about that. A full stadium full of vol fans for the Kentucky game will make an impression on any recruit that is there. There is no doubt about that either. :hi:

Could you prove your point then by being a bit more specific? Explication is more believable than supposition. Even a single example would help to bolster your argument.
