A round trip ticket from Portland, Or to Nashville, TN cost between $300 and $400 on Orbitz and Expedia. That's leaving Portland on 9/1 in the morning, arriving in Nashville in the morning, and returning on 9/3 in the morning. He can probably fly into Knoxville for a little more $$.

That's $20 a piece for 8 people, $10 a piece for 16 people, etc. etc.. It would be less if more could pitch in.

If he lands in Nashville, maybe a Middle Tennessean could pick him up and take him from there.

If he lands in Knoxville, then he can rent a car, or just have an East Tennessean pick him up.

Then we can all meet at our finally decided "tailgating" spot and go from there.

I'll even be willing to fork out $50 for the airfare.

Where can he stay?

I don't know.

Milo needs to get to a game.

You should set up a Paypal link

I bet Milo has one if we trust him enough to use it on a ticket :D

I'd be in for $20

I could do $20 ... but then I'd want to come too :(

Perhaps Freakster can get you a Volnation Press Pass. It is much cheaper to bring Milo because we wouldn't have to buy him any beer.

Best way I found was go to Phx and get on Southwest to Nashville. There is a shuttle that runs from there to the Holiday Inn (or maybe Hampton) @ Cedar Bluff Rd. for like $40. You won't spend more than $200 total on transportation.

We're almost 1/2 way there on the airfare.

Hat, are you going to the Cal game?

You can show Milo some of Knoxville's pimp, oficianado and culture places.

I also forgot about the kid in Oregon City.

Vols1234 or Vols4321 is his name.

Unless something unexpected happens, I'll be there.

I don't know. I thought he was the one that moved away from Tennessee.
Maybe he's moving back.

It is my understanding that he is moving to the Ville.

Well, apparently, I've already set up a Paypal account. It says my password is incorrect, and I've already set up an account. Then it says the email I've entered doesn't match "our records."

I'll still put down $50, if someone has a PayPal account.

I think you're talking about Chuck. He moved from South Carolina to Oregon, and he's currently setting up shop in Gatlinburg, I think.

Thanks, guys. My pops is on his way back from Los Angeles right now, should be in any minute. I'ma talk to him about going down to Nashville to visit with a new niece of mine, on a weekend that happens to coincide with the California game. Short of that, Florida is also doable, and Air Force as a last resort. A trip to Neyland is a trip to me, although I'd rather take Cal or Florida... But I'll go with any. I start school again after those games, so that's my window.

I think there is a flight into McGhee Tyson Airport in Alcoa (15 minutes away from the stadium) from Portland Oregon. There will probably be a stop or two along the way.Saves driving 3 hours from Nashville.Several Hotels have shuttles to the game from there.

Yeah but the $$ difference from Nash to Knox is ridiculous.

His man crush on EA makes up for the Cal thing.

If the Vols win that game by like 35, I'll throw down $5 towards the 'Send Milo to the Game Fund' for every other Vol game that is played while I'm alive.
