I was at the game in Arkansas and I think we should give the Hogs some credit. They are a very good football team. Darren McFadden is the best back I have seen play in person. I think he is the best back in the SEC since Bo Jackson. There D confused a young QB with stunt blitzes all night. They played a heck of a ball game.
Now we could have and should have played better. We dropped balls and missed tackles (some of those missed tackles were on #5 and he deserves some of the credit) to much to win a game. Let's have a little class and not sound like a bunch of bammers and not give the Hogs their due. They are IMO the best team in the SEC right now. They are good and peaking at the right time.

No argument here, I just wish we would have given them a little more of a fight, our boys looked beat after the 1st series.

A lot of us around here have been giving Arkansas credit since the preseason. That said, they're not the 1995 Nebraska team. UT looked like they had never lined up on defense before.

I called Arky very early as well. But they brought it to us. They are the best team we have played all year and we did not respond. If you have ever played organized sports you would know. Sometimes your just not on. We were not. Cromp could not adjust to the stunts all night. He was looking at the line first before he even looked down field. That is beating a young QB. They are a very good team and all things equal they will wear UF out.

He was looking at the line because they can't block anyone. It's not a case of an off night for that unit, they haven't blocked a decent team all year.

I've played organized sports. I think it's rare that every single player on the team is "not on". The coaches and team leaders should have done something or said something.

You tend to be better about this than me hat, but it seems like our pass blocking has been OK this year. It was down a lot on Saturday night...personally because I think they had practiced on run blocking all week and aren't good enough right now to focus on both in practice and during a game.

If you cant see a difference in the way they protected against LSU and Arky your blind. The ARK D coodinator learned early that an all out blitz Cromp picked up. When he stunted the kid froze like a deer in the headlights. He will learn from that and be fine. But that is exactly what happened.

Coker needs to learn to block and pick up the odd man. Cromp needs to learn to read a stunt. I bet you anything those 2 have heard more than once about that. I think they will get better.

You're right, we dominated LSU. I forgot how thoroughly the line dominated that game. I apololgize. Also, I need to give the line kudos for its brilliant performance in the UF game. Not just any line can rack up -11 yards rushing.

The pass blocking has been decent. However, one reason it looks so good is that it gets compared with the disgraceful run blocking.

Where did I say we dominated? But they did give him time to pass the ball and he wasn't looking to the line to try and pick up the pressure. Our O line needs work especially on the run. But until Sat we were the least sacked team in the SEC.

No matter what color you paint a turd it's still a turd. That's how we played on Saturday vs the Hogs. Vols play was bad vs a good team. All pieces of the game were not executed well at all. The high level of play we've seen all season seem to diminish off in the second half of the LSU game and has filtered on into the Arky game.

We were good in all facets of the game vs the Hogs with the exception of running, passing, kicking, returning, defending the pass, and defending the run. Other then that, we were great.

Guys, losing to Arkansas is nothing to hang your heads about. They are as good as it gets in the SEC right now. With most everyone coming back for them next year on offense, the Hoggs may just win it all. With that being said since we lost to them by 3 in OT thanks to 4 missed FG's, most people around here and on ESPN are saying that Bama is better than Tennessee. Have you guys heard anything about this? Your thoughts.

Your right about everything you wrote. But I do think Arky had something to do with it and they deserve credit. And if we can't give a good team who whips our butt credit then we are no better than bammers!

I agree. Your loss to Mississippi State showed what an outstanding squad you have. Do you realize how idiotic it is to come talk smack to a team that beat you? Oh, that's right. You're from Alabama, so you probably don't.

McFaddon kicked our butts. Yes, I agree, they were extremely good and are definately a top ten team.

Nutt called off the dogs, they coulda put up seventy!

You are just wrong. McFadden was in the game until the very end. Casey Dick was throwing the ball to Monk in the 4th QTR. They tried to put up more but didn't. UT did not quit they got beat.

It was meant to be a smart and witty joke. I guess that's why you didn't get it.

Explain running the ball with 2 minutes in the half? The coaches quit!
