After catching-up on all the coverage of yesterday's SECMD activity, I couldn't help but be struck by the great job our team leaders did in representing our school and our program. If you haven't taken the time to watch the video interviews, you should do so. They will make you proud.

It's easy to forget just how young these guys are and how big the spotlight is. It would be completely understandable if they stammered and struggled to look comfortable in front of all the lights and cameras.

But Curt, Mack and A.J. did us proud yesterday. They were genuine, not packaged. They spoke from their hearts with respect and humility. They were funny and thoughtful and said everything that needed to be said on behalf of our Vols. Just very impressive.

Great job, guys.

...oh, and you, too, Coach.

Nothing worse than seeing the English language being slaughtered by someone that's in college

At the risk of wading into a deeper discussion that might distract from the main purpose of this thread, I will say that I agree with you -- but only to a point. You're talking about diction. People speak the way they were raised to speak. I've seen southerners stereotyped my whole life because of the way they speak. So I try to separate what people say from how they say it.

I actually thought all 3 of them represented Tennessee VERY well...as well. Certainly, AJ is not at his most comfortable with such an atmosphere, but I think he handled what was obviously a stressful, personal situation for himself with real high measure. So I agree with you OP and commend ALL 3...but most specifically AJ.

I wasn't referring to them

It was actually a general statement

I was proud that they didn't

Hence, my statement

You guys need to chill
