Ok vol fans, most of us have gotten what we wanted. Randy Sanders is out as OC. We've beat up on him, called him names, made fun of him etc.etc.etc.

Now it's time to show some class and wish him luck. I don't know if he will remain on the staff after the season or not. But if he does as a WR coach or RB coach we need to support him and the rest of the staff. Remember he didn't get fired,he resigned, that shows me that he accepts full responsiblity for the offensive woes. I'm sure he gave his all and has done the best he could.

Randy Sanders is a VOL, will always be a VOL and we need to respect him and his family for his service.

Now lets look forward to the rest of the season, be patient because things will get better. GO VOLS :td: :3cheers:

Good post swami.

I agree, anyone who put on the orange, as a coach or player, is always ok in my book. I hope he is very sucessful whatever he does.

I hate it for RS. If what I hear is true, some VOL fans need to be disassociated with the program. They acted just like BAMA fans and LSU fans towards him and his family.

Remember, Sanders was the RB coach 1993-1998. Some of the players he coached include 7 of the top 10 all-time Tennessee rushers:
1. Travis Henry
2. James Stewart
4. Jamal Lewis
5. Jay Graham
8. Travis Stephens
9. Charlie Garner
10. Aaron Hayden

I wish him well and hoep that he finds a job with one of our opponents so that he may show the Vol Nation how good of a coach he really is - he has been made the scapegoat for this team and his overpaid boss- no one deserves to be treated like this-

Something that bothers me about this and other posts supportive of coaches is that they always offer recommendations for the other side to quit watching or disassociate with the program. Though considering the source, I do not take them personally, I am tired of people telling others that they are not welcome because of their views.

That is a narrow approach that always leads down a totalitarian trail that is simply unacceptable to me personally.

I have been a supporter all my life, and Randy Sanders is not going to change that either way. I wish RS all the best, and hope, that if he is as good as others thinks he is, that he secures a job that allows him to excel. Go Vols.

I didnt mention any names. Just some stuff I have heard.

Oh if you are assuming that my post is all about posting messages on the internet, you are wrong. Ive heard of his children getting the shaft when they go to school. I have heard of "fans" throwing things at his players as they walked off the field last Saturday.

Does that remind you of Bama and LSU fans?

Bill Currys wife got death threats at UK as well. If those comments were not directed at posters here that is good enough for me.

Idiots that throw things certainly should find another hobby no question about it. All you have to do is take a Sunday drive to realize that idiots are everywhere, and unfortunately we can't get rid of them all.

I've been as critical of Sanders as the next guy over the past few weeks, but you better believe that if I knew any of his family, or was around any of them... I would NOT be saying things about Randy and how he coaches, and treating those family members badly because of it.

That is a VERY bammer thing to do.

That's a very "I'm a horrible human being" thing to do.

His comments were very admirable. As Fulmer said, he has devoted his adult life to UT football.

It takes a man to step up and say the things he said. :post-20645-1119625378: to him as a person.

Exactly! He resigned like a man and we should respect him as a man. Nobody ever said he didn't work hard for us. He did. It's just time for change and I wish him luck on his future endeavors.
