Since gruden is now behind us, lets grow up people and support the new coach!:eek:k:

ok everybody, in the end we didnt get what we wanted but it could have been much worse. i am just glad we got a coach that can play defense and emphasizes defensive scoring. are u people crazy? obviously he has to prove him self but in his situation at central Michigan and and cincinnati at least he knows how to run a defense and did a pretty good damn job in his conference. basically hes moving up to the big leagues. he has to prove himself but from what ive seen he is a world away from dooley. people that want to argue he lost to dooley, give me break, the talent level dooley had was way beyond what jones had or could get for his conference. this guy has a fire under his ass and seems to be a true vol. i am 30 yrs old and lived in k town for 13yrs since i was 3. once orange blood is in u , it doesnt come out, so spare the bs about why whining about why we didnt get gruden. its time to stand by this coach or jump off this train. u choose

he seems to have a good feel for what needs to be done with instate recruiting unlike dooley. also his fl and ga experience is a big plus.

the hire could be alot worse. i dont understand these butch hators, he may not have SEC experience, but he can sure coach a defense and thats what we need. his comments about having a scoring defense are music to my ears!

i here that. people talk alot of crap on here including myself but when it comes down to, i bleed orange thru and thru and i will support whoever is going to lead us. after hearing more and more about butch jones, i think he knows what it takes to succeed in this league. there is one answer to that and that is defense.

100% VOL FOR LIFE!

Love the hire. He wasn't my 1st 2 or 3 choices but he can coach and he wants to be here! That speaks volumes. If he can get the coordinators he wants then we are on the way back. Dude is a winner!

now, what i'm interested in is the asst coaching search. after listening to butch during the press conference , its clear he wants people that bleed orange and want to be here. that can only have a positive effect on our program!

agreed my friend, this guy def has a fire under his ass and he seems like it really is his dream job. as he said he had to beg the ad over and over again. i think his persistents got him the job, which is very telling.

Vol in florida.. I Agree we must back our coach and team. I'm 100% onboard. I likes jones attitude.. he seems like he will put fire back in tenn football.

Ok, but this hire doesn't provide enough energy for the Paper Bag.....it does give enough energy to run Hart and Cheek into the Tn river however

yes i think cheeks and hart should go because of there ties to other universities, but i think butch jones really really wants to be here. as time goes by i could see jones persuading the haslams to get rid of them

I'm behind him and my money is. Season ticket holder since 96 and I for one think we made a good hire. Until I'm proved wrong, I'm 100% behind CBJ
